“As soon as you find out who is behind this, you let me know,” Harlow instructed. “I’ll be waiting for your call.”

“And when we get the fucker, we’ll call you again,” came the response. “We’ve got this. Go to her. She needs you.”

Harlow couldn’t argue with that. He deactivated his earpiece, removed it from his ear, then met Cameron’s eyes. “I’m out of here. You going to be okay?”

Cameron glanced to the situation unfolding with Justin, Alyssa, and Prince. Prince had both of Justin’s arms pinned behind his back while Justin struggled to escape, spitting obscenities at Alyssa, who stood a few feet away, rolling her eyes.

“Yeah,” he said. “I’ve got it handled. I’m sorry about what’s happened, H. If you need anything…”

“I’ll let you know,” Harlow promised. He wasn’t foolish enough not to ask for help when he needed it. The sign of a true man wasn’t how much responsibility he could bear until he broke, but rather the ease with which he delegated the responsibility that weighed him down. If Cameron could help, Harlow would take him up on it.

With a destination at his disposal and a clear goal in mind, Harlow exited the back room of the conference hall, stride quick and confident. Now that he had a location, he didn’t have time to waste. Evie was waiting for him. He would find her, and he would bring her home.
