“You mean about how you saw paparazzi hiding in the trees and went to chase them?”
“Hey! I didn’t know that’s who it was. I was trying to help!”
From where he sat in the suite, lounging on a couch, Harrison called out, “It happens all the time. Those guards probably told someone who then shared it with someone who sold the info to a gossip site.”
The explanation made sense to Trixie. What didn’t make sense was why she charged toward those trees in the first place.
“Daddy?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m going to do better about putting myself in dangerous situations.”
He chuckled and kissed her neck. “Good girl.”
She turned to look around at everyone who was in the suite. “And thanks everyone for coming to support me. It means the world.”
“Don’t mention it!” Iris said. “We’re sisters. We stick together.”
“Yeah. And coming to Vegas is pretty cool,” Annika chimed in. “Did you know there’s a big community of Littles here?”
“I actually did,” John said.
“You did?” Trixie asked, shocked.
“Sure did. Been reading up about it. Even talking to some folks.”
“Why?”
John grinned and then exchanged glances with Jack, Ace, Kendrick, Isaiah, and Matteo. Trixie then looked at Harrison and Stryker who were smirking, too.
They all seemed to be in on whatever it was he was about to say.
“Guys, what’s going on?” Trixie asked.
John put his arms around her and looked deeply into her eyes.
“Vegas is your home. You’ve been staying in L.A. with me, but I can’t help but feel you miss it here.”
She nodded. There was no reason to deny it.
“Well, I kind of like it here, too. So, I’ve been thinking…” He looked at Stryker and Harrison. “Y’all want to take over?”
The two men stood, walked to the giant wall of glass, and swept their hands to indicate the city.
“The Daddy Guard in Los Angeles has been a huge success,” Stryker noted. “Better than we ever dreamed!”
“So what if we’re just getting started?” Harrison proposed. “What if we expand? Sort of like Daddy Guard franchises.”
Trixie couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She broke away from Daddy’s grip and strode toward the window, too, looking out over Vegas. “A Daddy Guard, Las Vegas edition?”
The group laughed.
“Yep. Headed up by none other than your Daddy,” Harrison confirmed.
She gasped as she spun around to look at John.
He nodded. “I might not be a cop like Jack and them. But I have a lot of experience rescuing people. Including you.” He winked. “And I think it’s time for a change. So, let’s get you back home to Vegas. I’ll assemble a team and?—”
