I hadn't been imagining it. No. No.

My mind raced but I managed to find my words. "Red."

"Fuck." He immediately stopped, like someone had thrown ice water on us, and tears flowed down my cheeks. I couldn't stop them. It couldn't be. I had to be mistaken.

He wouldn't do that.

Would he?

He gently lowered my legs onto the bed as I pulled at my restraints above my head. He didn't make a sound as he reached up and uncuffed me like he had been doing for weeks.

Fucking weeks.

As soon as my hands were free, they moved up and ripped off the blindfold, not waiting for him to object. It wouldn't mattered anyway.

I gasped. Sebastian Reid stood in front of me, fully naked, looking like he'd just gotten his heart ripped out.

He was gorgeous and if I wasn’t so pissed, betrayed, so... I didn't even know how the hell I was suppose to feel right now but I couldn't breath and my lord, his beautiful cock, even at half mast?—

He quickly walked over to the table and grabbed the glass of water and moved toward me. "Breathe,” he said in that low tone of his.

I took the glass and watched as his shoulders relaxed a tad before I threw the glass at the wall. "Fuck you." I tugged at the top sheet on the bed to cover my nakedness and held my hand between us. "Stay away."

"I can explain."

"Really?" I sobbed. "I wouldn't go out with you, so you did this?" I waved my hand around the room.

He cocked his head. "We've been doing this for a few months, if memory serves me right."

I headed to the door and pushed the button on the wall. Immediately a warden barged in and I watched Sebastian hang his head. The warden looked me directly in the eye. "You okay, Miss?"

"I want to go home."

He glared at Sebastian, then back to me. “Yes, Miss.”

I wiped the tears on the edge of the sheet. I didn't bother waiting for him and stepped into the hallway smack dab into Ethan Cross.

He reached out and steadied me. "Mi..."

I glanced up and down the hall not knowing where I was. Sebastian groaned behind us. While I didn't want to, I turned to him. At some point he'd pulled on leather pants. The warden stepped between us.

Ethan shook his head. "I'll be damned."

I glanced up at him and blushed knowing I'd never be able to set foot in Sentinel Tech again. I was going to have to get a new job.

"We need to clear the hall," the warden said quietly.

Ethan's fingers gently brushed my arm. "Mira, let me walk you back to the dressing room." He turned to Mitch. "Can you let Mistress Vivienne know?"

Warden Mitch gave a nod, turned on his heel, and left.

Ethan stepped around me and turned to Sebastian. "I will deal with you later." He gently placed the tips of his fingers on the small of my back and the lights in the hall flashed on and off. "We've got to go."

He moved with urgency and I realized that I'd never really been anywhere other than the main hall.

"I didn't know you and Sebastian were a thing."

I gave a weak scoff. “Neither did I."
