Teague
*writes down temper tantrum as way to get what I want for future use*
not a tantrum. And if it was, everything I learned, I learned from you
big bro
Dad
i’ll be the one throwing a tantrum if we have Teague touch these pies
this is my favorite holiday don’t let him ruin it
we’ll be there soon.
I’m waiting to wake up from this dream but every time I pinch the inside of my arm, it still fucking hurts. This is real. I look over at a sleeping Blair—we needed a nap after our afternoon where I continued to prove to her how bad I wanted her. In all the ways, all the positions, all the time. Until we were both spent and needed a reset before dinner. Also, the second shower of the day.
“Baby, we’re being summoned for dinner and prep for tomorrow. My brother is going to start making your pies.”
Her eyes snap open and she throws the blanket off her. She’s wearing one of my T-shirts, which is obviously oversized on her, and her black panties. Fuck… I hate that we have somewhere to be.
“You can’t look at me like that!” she screeches, running to grab her leggings.
“Like what?
“Like I’m the meal!” She jumps, pulling her leggings up, and I can’t help but take in the curve of her ass. I’ve always loved how strong Blairwas, but now that I’ve touched and tasted most of her, it’s a new level of appreciation.
“With an ass like that, what do you expect?” I lightly tap it and she pushes me away, playfully, before looping her arms around my neck and kissing me deeply. I let her tongue sweep my lower lip, tasting me until I pull away. “We really do have to go, but don’t worry, I’ll be hungry when we get back tonight.”
The way she laughs into me? It’s everything.
Myfamilygetsagold star for being on their absolute best behavior. Nothing seems all that different, except for how it feels like I have so much happiness in my chest, my heart could burst. The internal thought makes me cringe, just a little, but it doesn’t fucking matter… because it’s true.
“Our savior!” my dad jokes as he watches my mom and Blair wrap the pies, ready to bake tomorrow. He shakes her shoulders and my girl laughs as he does it. The most perfect sound, I swear to god.
“Honey, it looks like you’ve been practicing!” my mom beams, looking at the final product.
“Definitely not. Not a lot of time.”
“She’s off being the best part of the Cosmos, didn’t you hear?” Teague pokes, his wife clapping, cheering him on. “When she’s not doing that, she’s running her own business.”
Seeing Teague hype her up like this? I love it. Honestly.
“How’s the gym going, dear?” my mom asks, handing Blair a glass of rosé, who’s trying to hide the pink in her cheeks.
“So good. Better than I ever thought. We can’t even take new memberships right now.” I zone out a little while she goes into the success of Embers and Ashes. It’s not that I’m disinterested or don’t want to hear, but my body needs a moment to catch up.
The stakes are high, this thing with Blair and me.
All I know is I’m one lucky bastard. I might have my hands on the type of forever someone could only hope for. It’s in this kitchen, on this night, with the people I love most that it hits me.
I’m going to do everything I can to show Blair how much she means to me.
Because when you get everything you want, and more, you hold on. Tight. You don’t let go.
