I can’t help but laugh while picking up the phone and reading through the messages. It’s only been fifteen minutes since the last one came through, so I respond, hoping Teague isn’t on pie duty.

any updates for the group?

did your temper tantrum work?

I can picture my family, huddled around each other, bickering about what I’m going to say next. That’s how we’ve always been. Since we’re all close, I feel like we know more about each other than maybe other families. I like the feeling of us all being friends, where we can give each other shit and make fun of each other. Deep down, we’d do anything for each other and that’s what makes it all the more of a blast.

I knew they’d ask about me and Blair. And she gave me the greenlight to be honest with them, so that’s what I do.

Me

we’re together. Don’t make it weird.

not telling anyone outside of this group and not sure what the plan is when we get back to NY
