“Move,” I whisper. “Please, Davin.”

He withdraws almost completely, then slides back in with deliberate force, using deep, claiming strokes that fill me completely. But he shifts his angle, hips tilting so the thick ridge of his shaft drags directly over my clit with every thrust. The friction is immediate and electric. Relentless pressure builds in bright, pulsing waves.

“I love you,” I say into his lips. “I love you so much.”

“I love you, too, darling.” His rhythm intensifies, becoming more urgent as he thrusts in long, powerful strokes that grind against my clit on every inward motion.

My nails dig into his shoulders. “I’m yours. I’m staying.”

The words ignite him. His pace turns fierce, hips snapping forward with controlled power, each thrust rubbing that perfect ridge against my swollen clit until pleasure stacks impossibly high. My inner walls flutter around him; heat explodes outward in shattering pulses. I come with a broken cry, clenching hard around his length as waves crash through me. My body arches, thighs locking around his waist.

He follows seconds later, groaning my name as he pulses deep inside me, filling me with heat that feels like forever. We collapse together, breathing hard, hearts pounding in sync, and lie together until our hearts slow. Then he shifts onto his sideand gathers me against him, tucking my head beneath his jaw where his pulse beats steadily. His palm drags up and down my back in a soothing rhythm.

“Okay?” he asks.

“More than okay.” I press my face into his neck. “That was—”

“Everything.” He kisses my temple. “You’re everything.”

We lie in comfortable silence, my head on his chest, his heartbeat thudding under my ear. Afternoon light slants in a low, golden rectangle on the floor. Wrapped in his arms, I feel safer than I’ve ever felt.

“We should talk about logistics,” I say after a while.

“What kind of logistics?”

“Where we’re going to live. How this works long-term.” I shift onto my elbow and tilt my head to meet his eyes. “I can’t keep going back and forth between my apartment and here.”

“Then don’t.” His palm settles warm against my lower back. “Move in with me. Bring your things here. Make this home.”

“That’s fast.”

“We’ve already established we don’t do slow.” His thumb strokes across my jaw. “I want you here. I want to wake up with you every morning. I want to build a life with you in this space.”

The certainty in his voice makes my vision blur. “What about the shop?”

“Twenty-minute drive. We’ll make it work.” He pulls me back down against his chest. “I’ll build you a studio space here if you want. Somewhere you can work on inventory and planning without having to go into town on the days the shop is closed.”

The offer makes my lungs feel too tight to draw a full breath. “You’d do that?”

“I’d do anything for you.” His arms tighten around me. “You’re my priority now. Everything else is just logistics.”

I let myself relax into him, my body loose and satisfied. His hand continues its path along my spine, grounding me in the moment.

“The opening is in less than two weeks,” I say. “After that, I’ll move in.”

“Good.” He kisses my forehead. “We’ll finish the shop tomorrow. Get everything in place. Then you focus on the opening, and I’ll focus on making space for you here.”

The plan feels concrete. Actionable. Real.

“Davin?”

“Yeah?”

“Thank you for choosing me. For choosing us.”

“Thank you for letting me.” His voice is rough with emotion. “For seeing past the guilt and the fear and deciding I was worth the work.”

“You’re not work.” I tilt my head back to look at him. “You’re exactly what I needed without knowing I needed it.”
