His glare pierced through to my soul, but a shadow of a grin ticked his cheeks. I stood up, releasing my tendrils and sank back into my chair. My legs shivered. My fingers twitched. I felt repulsion creeping up the back of my throat in the form of bile from my stomach. But, as I watched his mesmerizing movements with his cock swelling effortlessly in his palm, the dark desires of my soul wanted nothing more than for him to choke me on his girth again.

“Joseph, please,” I whispered.

He chuckled. “Please, what?”

I stared at his chest as I shook my head. “For everything.”

He paused. “What did you do?”

My gaze fell to my lap. “You’re going to hate me when I tell you.”

He stopped stroking his dick. “What did you fucking do, Becca?”

I squeezed my eyes shut as the memories came rushing back. “I knew Maggie was cheating on you.”

Silence fell between us and I didn’t have the balls to open my eyes. I didn’t want to see the look of betrayal and anger as it crossed his face, because if I watched it I might have just thrown up on his suede shoes.

“You what?” he growled.

I shook my head. “I caught them one time in the stairwell and Maggie swore me to secrecy. She said if I told anyone—especially you—that she’d tell Mom and Dad that Blaine wanted me to go on birth control.”

“Open your eyes.”

“Joseph, I can’t--.”

He gripped my chin. “I said open your fucking eyes, Rebecca.”

And when I opened them, tears of weakness stained my cheeks. “I’m sorry for being so weak back then. I’m sorry for not standing up for you sooner. I’m sorry for watching her--.”

“Shut up.”

“Mr. Ryker, please, I just--.”

He hissed. “I said shut the fuck up right now.”

My entire body shivered with fear as his hardened gaze held my stare. This was it. This was what would do him in. He’d kick me out, have me fired, and that would be the end of that. I teetered on an edge that had no light. I was shrouded in complete darkness, volleying between quitting myself and pushing forward with my plan.

I trusted him not to hurt me after the incident in the parking garage. I even trusted him to do it again, if it ever came down to it.

But I didn’t trust him to care anything about me once he was done using me for his nefarious purposes.

“You knew,” he said flatly.

I sighed. “For a couple of weeks before it all came to light.”

He released my chin. “Stand up.”

I shook my head. “Mr. Ryker, I--.”

He growled as he grabbed my hair. “I said stand the fuck up and I won’t repeat myself any longer.”

He tugged me out of the chair and my hands wrapped around his forearm. His muscles pulsed beneath my touch but the look in his eyes frightened me. He dragged me behind his desk, shuffling as his pants held him hostage. But, when he shoved me into his office chair, he perched in front of his computer.

Before releasing his cock.

“Suck.”

I blinked. “Come again?”
