“No.” Heat rushes to my face. Fuck, I’m addicted. “Yes. I don’t know.”
He helps me off the counter and urges me back to my homework. He gets his phone, and notifications buzz back and forth while I try to focus on my history reading. When I open my laptop to figure out if I’m missing anything, the others are all at their computers.
Well, except Caden. He sits next to me in only his boxers.
“Hi.” I lift my hand and wave like a complete idiot.
Jack smirks. Eli raises an eyebrow. Nico smiles. Luke… he’s definitely not happy. And when Luke’s not happy, I usually get punished. I swallow.
Caden caresses my thigh under the table. Not sure if it’s to give me support or to steady me for whatever is about to happen.
“Stand up, princess.”
It’s pretty obvious I’m wearing Caden’s shirt. I practically swim in it.
Sighing, I stand in front of the camera. I could be wearing booty shorts with this t-shirt and they wouldn’t know. “Is this really necessary?”
“Lift it.” Luke’s eyes have that icy edge to them tonight.
I pull up the shirt to show my panties. Thankfully I put them on. Not that they all haven’t seen me naked, but I’m pretty sure things would be worse if I’m sitting here with no panties on.
“Do I get to see your boxers next?” Fuck, that imp inside me who likes to poke at Luke has no sense of self-preservation.
Caden chuckles and runs his hand up the back of my thigh. “Seems only fair.”
“Fair?” Luke leans back.
“I don’t see what the problem is.” I lower my shirt and sit back in my chair. “Caden brought me his jersey to wear tomorrow to school.”
“And what, princess?” Luke’s voice is clipped. “What happened next?”
“Afraid you missed the show?” Caden’s words are like ice to my overheated body. “Do you need a play by play? Or blow by blow?”
This is a game I’m not qualified to play.
“This is ridiculous. Harper can do what she wants with her body.” Nico leans forward. “It’s not like he took something she wasn’t willing to give.”
“Any of us could have gone over there tonight.” Jack smirks. “Fuck, I know I planned to go help her relieve some tension, but got sidetracked.”
“This isn’t a fucking free for all.” Luke clenches his fist on the desk. A muscle ticks in his jaw. My heart races like a trapped rabbit.
“Isn’t it though? She belongs to all of us.” Eli isn’t smug or smirking. He’s completely calm. “Or do you want to control our access to her?”
All eyes go to Luke. That’s exactly what he wants. I know it. They know it. The question is will he be honest about it.
His eyes lock on me. It should be hard to tell on video chat, but it’snot just seeing him. It’s feeling him. The way he slips beneath my skin to rile me up.
The wheels spin behind his eyes as he figures out how to make this work best for him. It’s infuriating. He wants complete and utter control of me. While I don’t mind sometimes, he needs to understand I’m still me.
“Are you going to need to fuck me every time one of them does?” The words spill off my tongue. “Do you need to come fuck me now to prove you have control over me? That you own me? That I belong to you?”
I stand, feeling caged. “Or do you just need to hear what happened? Is it every time someone’s been alone with me? Like when you slept with me? Or how about the time youpunishedme by getting me and yourself off in your car on the way home?”
Laughter, tight and hot, pours out of me. “Or is it just the ones you don’t know about? Like tonight? Yes, Caden and I fucked. It was my choice, and I probably would have fucked him again, but he thought he should tell you—his friend—he’s staying here tonight because I would have been alone otherwise.”
“You said MacKenzie was staying.” The words are bitter. But of course, out of everything I said, that’s what he would focus on.
“I asked. Her mom said no.” I straighten. I’m not nearly as tall as them and probably look smaller in Caden’s t-shirt. “I can be by myself. I’ve spent years perfecting it while hiding from you.”
