“What do you mean?” I arch an eyebrow as I sit in my desk chair.
He rubs a hand over the back of his neck and looks up. “You slept quite a while. Did we hurt you?”
His brows furrow as he looks me over. I don’t think, I just stand and walk over to him. Lowering myself onto his lap, I run my fingers through his hair before I focus on his green eyes. His large hands cradle my ass.
“I’m good, Caden.” I tip his chin up so we’re eye to eye. “Am I a little sore? Yes, but did I do anything I didn’t want to do? No.”
Smiling, Caden pulls me in tight against him. His hard cock presses against my pussy through our jeans. My breath catches and my pulse quickens. These guys intoxicate me.
“I’m supposed to let you rest.” His nose trails over my jawline before he kisses me right by my ear. “I’ve never been good at being good.”
Heat scorches through my veins, but reason wins out. I tug on his hair. “My mom is sleeping, Caden. She’s not at work. Maybe we’ll play later.”
He blows out his hot breath over my neck, and a full body shiver works through me. “You should get your things then, little nympho.”
He slaps my ass. Glaring, I move off him. I grab my backpack and pull open the door. Giving him the signal to keep it quiet, I head toward the stairs with him following close behind.
Honestly, I’m surprised Mom didn’t wake up. We weren’t that quiet, but she might have had a rough night. I should come home for dinner and make her food before her shift. Breakfast for dinner for me, and breakfast for breakfast for her.
I lock the door behind us and follow Caden to his car. He holds open the passenger side for me, and I slip in. Glancing back at the house, I don’t see anything out of the ordinary. My childhood home hasn’t changed now I’m no longer a virgin.
It’s weird. I didn’t expect bells and whistles or a cake or anything, but maybe I thought something about me would change. Maybe I wanted something to change.
Caden puts the car in gear, backs out of the driveway, and heads to the coffee shop. He turns toward me. “What’s on your mind?”
I shrug. “I just thought it would be different. After.”
Caden chuckles. “Trust me, little nympho. It’s going to be different. We’re still in our bubble. People will notice something’s changed but won’t know what.”
“Maybe.” I pick at the hem of Luke’s shirt. I probably should have changed so Mom wouldn’t see me in a guy’s shirt and ask questions. But Luke didn’t ask for it back. And I didn’t offer. He left in one of Caden’s shirts after pressing a kiss to my lips. I touch my lips, remembering the tingling and butterflies that leapt to attention. I like wearing his shirt.
I’m so screwed.
“How do you keep sex and love separate?” I twist in my seat to watch Caden.
He cocks an eyebrow. “Um, sex is a base need. It’s physical. Love is something you feel for your family and friends. Those closest to you. Not physically, but emotionally.”
I chew that over. Maybe.
“Why, little nympho? Afraid to catch feelings for your horsemen?” He pulls into a parking space for the local coffee shop. The smell of coffee permeates the car.
“Maybe.” I lean my head back against the seat and turn to face him. “Maybe I worry I won’t be able to separate the two, since you guys are mine for the school year.”
His fingers chuck me under my chin. “Would that be such a bad thing?”
I smile and shake my head. “It would be awful. We may all end up going to different colleges. Barely see each other. It wouldn’t be long until one of us cheats and the others find out. Then we break up because long distance is hard.”
“Hmm, that sucks. Why wouldn’t we go to college together? Fuck long distance.” He pushes open his door, but waits until I grab my backpack and slide out my side. He takes his backpack from the backseat and puts it over one shoulder.
“Six people all at the same college?” Laughing, I join him on the sidewalk. “First, you guys can afford any college you want. Unless I get an amazing scholarship, I’m going to be lucky to afford state with scholarships. Second, what college would work for all of us? It’s not like we all want to be business majors.”
“True.” He throws his arm around my shoulders and leads me toward the door. “But it could happen.”
“Sure.” I give up. Caden doesn’t really work on reason. “It could happen. Just like you keeping me will happen.”
He pushes me against the brick building before the door and lowers his face to my level. His green eyes search mine. “If you didn’t want me to keep you, you shouldn’t have given me your virginity, little nympho. You’re mine now.”
My cheeks flush hot, and I glance around to see if anyone heard him. “Caden, I?—”
