One of his eyes peeked open and he smiled. “I’m a minotaur bull, babe. We can go up to twenty times a day.”

Twenty times a day.

A deep laugh vibrated out of him as he tucked his cock into his pants. “It’ll go back in soon. Do you want to lie down so I can reciprocate?”

I worried my lip, thinking it over. It was sweet of him to offer, but I wasn’t really used to receiving when it came to oral sex.

“No, that’s okay. I, um, I’d love to cuddle, though.” I was hoping he’d agree. I wanted to snuggle up against that big, warm minotaur body of his like a kitten.

“Come here,” he said with a smile.

I stood, groaning as my knees cracked on the way up. I was about to cozy up next to Al on the couch whenhe pulled me into his lap.

“How’s this?” he asked, his hands gripping my ass tight.

I stared at him with wide eyes. I wasn’t used to being in someone’s lap. Not at my age.But I liked it.“Good.” I placed my head on his chest and snuggled closer. “Do you want to order food?”

“Oh, yeah. I got distracted.”

I snorted. “Sorry about that.”

His thumb traced lazy circles over my hip. “I like it when you do that.”

“Do what?”

“The snort you do when you laugh sometimes. It’s adorable.”

I’d always thought it was dorky or unladylike. Don had certainly never commented on it one way or another, but here was Alistair on our first date, telling me he liked it. It was enough to make butterflies flutter in my stomach.

“Thank you,” was all I could manage. Normally, I was better at receiving compliments, but there was something different about it coming from Al.

“You’re welcome.” He wrestled his phone out of his pocket, taking care not to jostle me too much. “Does the Chinese food place have online ordering?”

“Yep.” I nodded my head against his chest. The fluffy patch of hair sticking out from beneath his shirt tickled my nose, and I sucked in a deep inhale of his woodsy scent.

“What’s it called?”

“King’s.” I stifled a yawn. The events of the morning, combined with the warmth radiating off Alistair, made me feel like I could have fallen asleep right then and there.

“No yawning, sleepy head. We have to eat first. What do you want?”

“Umm, shrimp fried rice and an eggroll. Oh, and crab rangoons.”

He laughed, the puff of air from his wide nostrils ruffling my bangs. “Of course we need crab rangoons. Anything else?”

I thought for a second. Something sweet would balance out all that sodium. “Can you get me a Dr. Pop?”

“That sounds good. We’ll make it two. What’s your address again?” One of his hands drifted over my back, his finger trailing up and down my spine while he waited for me to reply. It was such a tender caress from someone solarge.Alistair might be a giant minotaur bull, but he was so gentle.

“Sixteen-hundred Maple Street,” I said sleepily, my fingers running through the soft hair covering his chest. It made sense that he was so warm, he had a permanent sweater on.

“Alright. Food is ordered.” Al sat his phone on the couch cushion next to us and wrapped his arms around me. He leaned down, the velvety skin of his nose nuzzling against my temple. “This is nice.”

“It really is,” I said with a breathy sigh.

But it was bittersweet because it was only temporary. It would be over before it could even get started.

“Al, I—”
