“If someone hurt Harper, they’ll pay. No doubt about it,” I snap.

EPILOGUE

HARPER

My eyelids flutter open sluggishly. I attempt to lift my hand to soothe the pounding in my head. I writhe my wrists behind me, feeling the cold bite of restraints. My ankles are shackled too.

Rick fucking kidnapped me.

“Beta bitch,” I mutter softly.

Where is he?

“Rick,” I call out, voice trembling.

I blink, struggling to adjust to the darkness. The scent of earth fills the air—like the tunnel we were in the other day.

“Hello? Where am I?” I shout, panic rising.

“You’re with your mate, Harper,” Rick whispers in my ear.

Fear floods me and I scream. My heart slams against my ribs like it wants to escape.

“You and I mean nothing, Rick. You kidnapped me,” I roar back.

“Listen, I’ve forgiven my psychotic mates. We’re a pack now.”

“Is that so, Harper?” A familiar voice sneers.

My heart twists painfully.

“Mr. Montclair, show yourself,” I demand.

Light spills into the room.

Mr. Montclair stands holding a glowing candle.

Three more candles flicker to life, casting shadows on the faces of my mates’ alpha fathers snarling at me.

Shit.

“Our sons will miss you. But they’ll move on soon enough,” Mr. Burbank says coldly.

A chill crawls over me.

“Are you sending me away?” I ask, dread tightening my throat.

“Yes. With me,” Rick replies.

“Sorry Rick, you can’t have Harper,” Mr. Barclay says.

“You gave your word,” Rick whines.

Mr. Donovan lifts a Glock. I clamp my eyes shut.

“I’ll miss you all. Your dads are about to end me. I love you, alphas,” I send through the bond.

A sharp pip echoes. Then a heavy thud follows.
