“If we are adding people who wrong us into the mix, I would say my asshole of a boss that fired me today for punching the guy that grabbed my ass should be on the list.” She adds in return.
So that’s why she was in jail this morning. That almost seems like it was so longago. Today’s has been a hell of a day.
“How about we add the guy who grabbed your ass too?”
I say with a smirk of my own. If we're going to go on a rampage of crimes, we might as well punish that jerk too.
“Sounds perfect to me, lover boy.” She says, the little grin on her face growing wider. I like this woman. She is witty, smart, and so very evil that I would gladly let her ruin me.
“Jesus Chris, Pinkie, if you keep going like that, you will make me fall in love with you.”
She chuckles.
“Oh, come on, Ash, as if you are not already falling for me.”
Like I said, smart and evil.
Chapter 5
Ash
“Hey big guy.”
Nova greets the goon standing watch at the entrance of Chad’s shop as we pass in front of him. Aaron’s steel bat rests on her shoulder, her heels clicking on the hard floor with each step.
Fuck me. This woman will be the end of me.
My hand is resting on the back pocket of her shorts as I walk beside her, the other one holding the gun I took from her in a tight grip.
“Hey, Chad.” I announce our presence to Chad with a grin. “Missed me?”
“What the hell?” He screamsin response and rises from his seat. Nova quickens her steps, rushing to him. She presses his shoulder with her bat and has a look on her face like a woman scolding her misbehaved child.
“Be a good boy and get back down. My man here has some things to discuss with you.”
I fucking love her already. If she asked for my credit card, security number, and my soul, I would happily hand them to her and then beg her to destroy me.
“You heard her, Chad, sit your ass back down and let’s have a conversation like two grown men.”
I drag one of the empty chairs and bring it in front of him. I switch it with the back of the chair facing him and take a seat with my chest pressing against the back of it. I fold my hands over the edge of the chair’s back and rest my chin on it.
“So, I will admit burning the house was a goodway to distract us.”
I start, and he opens his mouth, probably in an attempt to deny it, but Nova slaps him across the face, her long nails leaving scratch marks on his cheek.
“No lies allowed, big guy. I had a very hard day, and my patience is not to be tested.”
She says, with a voice that reeks authority.Fuck my credit card; I would sign my soul in a blood sealed contract to her.
“If I were you, I would probably obey what she says.” Chad’s eyes find mine as if he is trying to read the truth behind my words. “She already tried to kill a man tonight, and this time I might not stop her.” I say with a smirk.
Chad is frantically looking around, but everyone had scared away the moment we entered, like rats running from thedanger.
“You are both crazy. I didn’t do anything.” He yells, trying to get up again, but this time Nova lifts her leg, her heel resting on his crotch, slightly pressing against the fabric of his pants.
“Look I don’t think it’s sharp enough to cut you but with enough pressure I am pretty sure I can pierce your pathetic excuse of a dick and cause enough damage Chaddy boy.” She says and presses harder. A yelp leaves Chad as he stills in his spot, not making another move. Even his breathing stops.
“What do you want?” He asks looking directly to me.
