The dismissal came swiftly as she turned the hotel room lamp off and turned onto her side.
Kit did as he was told.

Where is the bastard?
He took me to Mom’s thirty hours after the ritual was over. He was never seen anywhere else again after that. Either the coven he cut a deal with killed him or… he relocated.
If Dad did relocate, these are the locationshe needs to feed his habits:
A liquor store (doesn’t work as a location delimiter)
An off-the-book medical place because his face is punchable
A casino
Racetracks
Beast fighting — I found videos on a laptop of his before Mom kicked him out.
Only Tunsa and Skadra have renowned beast fighting rings due to proximity to Wilds. So he’s either roughing it or in Skadra.
Oh, who am I kidding. If he breathes, then he’s hiding out in Skadra.
The South Side Entertainment Arena was at the edge of Skadra, where the buildings’ sandy colors and half-crumbled adobe reigned supreme. As they rode in a taxi down pothole-riddled streets, Gentry kept an eye on the residentswho were doing their outdoor tasks before the sun gained in intensity. According to the sources she’d compiled, magic-less humans typically resided here. More often than not the children of witches who’d immigrated here, these residents stayed in their hometown, and took the brunt of the insanely high taxes. Taxes that would pay for Sophia’s orphans so they could grow into functioning coven members.
Before, Gentry would’ve called that unfair. Now, however, after witnessing Sophia’s grief, she wasn’t so sure.
“Here,” their driver announced, distracting her from determining whether the children playing basketball were using magic or not, “now get out.”
Startled by his rudeness, Gentry looked up at the ruddy-cheeked man with a dusty ball cap slapped upon his head. He wasn’t even looking at her, but rather eyeing the entrance to the entertainment arena with what could only be described as envy.
