It feels like it goes on forever, and when I finally come back to reality, I’m bundled up on his chest, my cheek pressed against his uninjured side.
“Oh my god.” I pant, my body still shaking with aftershocks. “That was…”
“Amazing,” he murmurs, guiding my chin up to face him. His eyes flick between mine, searching. He licks his wet lips and I shiver. “Tell me what you taste.”
I swallow hard and push to my elbow before pressing my lips to his. The kiss starts off sweet, but quickly grows heated. His stubbled cheek is wet from my release and it makes me smile against him. When we finally pull away, my breathing is labored.
“I taste myself,” I murmur as I brush his cheek and kiss him again. “You taste like forever, Hunter Morris.”
But they taste the same way.
I swallow hard, my eyes clouding over once more. Guilt pulses through me. I shouldn’t be thinking about them right after sharing such an unbelievable moment with him.
“We’ll get them back, my love,” he vows, tucking my hair behind my ear. My throat bobs. I should know better than to try to hide anything from him. “We will find them. I fucking swear we will.”
“How?” I wince when my voice breaks.
“First thing in the morning, we’ll go to Oliver and get him to use the bugs in your jewelry to track them. Maybe he can ping their cufflinks or something.” He shrugs, his eyes going distant as he thinks. “I have my links and our phones should be around here somewhere. We can check the tracking app.”
We’d been too distracted by the meeting to remember our phones amongst our belongings earlier, and then we’d passed out.
“But Stone said it may not work if we’re too far,” I muse. “If they aren’t in the city anymore, the app won’t work.”
He flicks his gaze to me. “Oliver seems like a smart little fucker. I bet he can figure it out.” He waggles his brows. “And if not, I’m sure someone here in this badass compound has something that can help out the Queen.”
I smack his arm. “Don’t call me that.”
“But you are a queen.” He chuckles, kissing my jaw. “My queen.”
Swallowing hard, I drop back down to rest on his shoulder. “I need to find them, Hunter.”
He sighs. “I know you do, and believe it or not, I want to find them, too.”
“You’re really okay with this?”
Hunter is silent for so long, I grow tense. He slides his hand down my bare back and cups my ass, squeezing it. I whimper and he groans. “Don’t make more sexy sounds or I’ll have to find some Viagra and figure out a way to fuck you, gunshot be damned.”
“Not happening,” I say, but my voice betrays how badly I want him. I flick my eyes up to his. “Are you okay with them? I understand if you’re—”
He presses his lips to mine, silencing me. When he pulls away, we’re both breathless.
“I am.” His throat bobs as he drops back to the pillows. “I thought it would be harder, but the other day when we were leaving their house and they were kissing you, touching you…” Hunter breaks off and shrugs. “It was kind of hot. Especially…”
“Especially Maddox?” I murmur, filling in his unspoken words. His eyes flare with heat and he nods once. I kiss his jaw and smile against his warm skin. “God, seeing you two together someday is going to be so fucking hot.”
Hunter’s hand claps down on my asscheek, and I screech.
“What was that for?”
He gives me a sharp look. “Who the hell said he and I will ever be together like that?”
I smirk. “You’re both hot. You like him, he likes you. It’s only a matter of time.”
“Maddox isn’t even into guys,” he rushes out, but I see the curiosity in his eyes. We stare at each other for a long moment and finally, he sighs, shaking his head. “We’ll fucking see. First things first, though. We need to get them back before any type of orgies can happen.”
“Who said anything about orgies?” My cheeks turn pink at just the thought.
“It’s only a matter of time,” he quips, turning my words back on me. I narrow my eyes and he chuckles. “Haven’t you ever read any reverse harem books, baby? Orgies are like a requirement.”
