They’re nice, but I prefer plain old milk chocolate.

I don’t think he brought them here for me.

I can’t help but smile as he opens the bar in his hands.

He brought those fancy bars for Robin.

I don’t know how he knew, but he always seems to know.

“Here,” he murmurs, breaking a couple of pieces off and handing them to her.

She offers him back one piece and he actually takes it.

He’s not going to eat it. He never …

He puts it in his mouth, and she does the same thing.

Her eyes light up so brightly when she starts to chew.

The sounds she makes are sexy and sweet all at once.

Jay’s enjoying his, too, or maybe he’s just happy because she is.

It’s kind of hard to tell.

“That was so good,” she admits, sounding kind of surprised.

Jay gives her another piece.

“Thanks,” she murmurs, as she takes it from him.

I’m not sure it’s working, but I’ve got nothing else.

Robin eats that second piece of chocolate and looks back at Jay.

He starts to break off another piece, and she puts her hand over his.

My heart starts to hammer as she reaches up to run her fingers over his jawline.

“I know you can control your instincts, but what if I told you, you don’t have to?”

Chapter One-Hundred-Five

Jay

Robin’s touch catches me by surprise, and her question tests my control like nothing else ever has. A million questions fill up my brain, the hardest of which I can’t go any further without asking. I hesitate, but only because it feels like I’m assuming she doesn’t really want this.

That isn’t fair to her. Clearly, she’s a woman who knows her own mind.

“Only ask me that if you want to be claimed, right here, right now.”

“Right now?” she asks, her voice turning husky.

She knows what she wants, and I’m struggling to find reasons to hesitate.
