She’s so turned on, I can taste it in the air. She may not have a potent perfume like Harper, but Robin has a natural musk that’s just as sweetly tempting to my senses. Her body is showing all the signs that she’s ready to be mated, and it’s showing them for me.
That’s a thoroughly intoxicating state to witness.
It makes my pants tighten, and my teeth sharpen, all over again.
Everything in me tells me she’s mine, and all I want is to claim her and mark her.
The urge is strong in both of us.
It’s hard to ignore.
I already know I won’t be able to eat.
Nothing else matters when I have an unclaimed mate in front of me.
My body doesn’t care what else I should be doing to keep it healthy.
It only wants what it’s waiting for.
Robin.
She has curves now.
Her well-rounded ass has a sexy bounce when she walks.
It’s impossible not to stare as she leads me forward, so I move a little faster and come up beside her in an effort to cool my thoughts down.
The building she’s leading us toward is kind of far away from the main building, and it seems to stand on its own. The forest is right behind it, and there seems to be a gap in the wire fence back there …
“Detour?” I ask, a plan forming in my head that’s going to make sure my new mate eats like she needs to, regardless of whether our bond gets fulfilled.
She slows down and looks at me questioningly. “Um, what?”
“Maybe it would be fun to go for a little walk before we eat.”
She blinks at me, and I know by the haze in her eyes that she’s fighting her desire as hard as I am right now. “A walk?”
I let go of her hand and move ahead, going right for the gap in the fence.
When she gasps behind me, I turn around.
“The woods?” she asks in a hushed whisper.
She’s looking past me now, with fresh longing in her eyes.
I wonder how many times she’s thought about slipping through this gap and exploring the forest beyond. It seems like something she wants, even if she’s never admitted it before.
She stops in front of me, her gaze on the gap in the fence.
“This probably shouldn’t be here,” she murmurs, after a quick inspection.
“You’ve never noticed it before?”
“I’m never really over here. The cafeteria isn’t used much by the Omegas. That’s why I thought of it. I don’t use it much, either.”
“We don’t have to …” I start, when she doesn’t speak for a minute.
“I’ve always wanted to walk through these woods,” she admits, her cheeks flushing when she looks back at me. “Lana might be mad if she finds out, but …”
