The next day, Syris rented bicycles, and we rode into town to grab fresh produce and explore nature. “Is that all that you want?” he probed.

I looked down at the basket and scanned over my favorite fruits and new ones I wanted to try. Chewing on my bottom lip, I squinted my eyes as I ran over the mental list of things I wanted and since we had everything, I was good to go. I looked at Syris, and a look of patience was displayed all over his face, and I loved how patient he was with me. “Yes, I’m all good, baby.”

“Alright, Butterfly.” Syris winked at me then turned and paid the produce stand owner.

Syris grabbed the bags then placed them on the handlebars of his bike. We set off to the resort, and I grinned as I followed behind him and admired Coral Hive’s beauty. The greenery and oceans had me most captivated because Illinois had its own beauty, but the country of Coral Hive was simply captivating.

I felt so at peace as a gentle breeze blew through my wild curls and colorful sarong. I thought Syris would have had a problem with me only wearing a white bikini top and bottoms, and my sarong, which molded to my thick physique, but he was totally cool with it. We paddled and made small talk until we made it back to the resort. Syris placed our bikes in the bike rack then carried the bags into the kitchen.

As I put up the food, I spoke loudly so he could hear me. “Hey, do you want me to make you a midday snack or drink?” I could also see him from the kitchen’s open layout.

He removed his shirt, pants, and slides, then climbed into bed on his stomach. “No. I’m good, beautiful. I’m going to take a quick nap, then I’ll make you dinner.”

“You’re too sweet, baby, thank you. Get you some rest while I finish putting up the food, then I’m going to go for a swim.”

“Okay. Wake me if you need me, Butterfly.”

I walked over to him and kissed his defined cheek and his lips. He smirked then nuzzled into his pillow.

“Will do.”

Entering the kitchen, I finished putting up the food, then placed my ring on the nightstand before I exited our cabin. I didn’t want to lose it in the ocean because it was a tad bit loose for my liking, but Syris said he would have it altered when we returned home. I left my sandals on the outside sitting area, and I walked down the stairs to the ocean sectioned off for those of us that stayed at the resort. There had to be like twelve other houses around, but nobody seemed to be out right now.

I was happy because I had more time to swim alone. My thong bikini was wedged between my ample cheeks as I removed my sarong. I padded to the ocean, then finally dipped in. The water was so warm and comforting.

It was exactly what I needed to make my day even more relaxed. I swam underneath for a few minutes before I emerged and wiped my eyes. I floated around and admired my surroundings until I noticed a tall, brown-skinned brother with an athletic build watching me from the sitting area of his beach house patio.

He waved, and my face twisted out of confusion. It was strange because there were three women surrounding him. I knew at least one of them had to be his girlfriend or wife.

They were feeding him and fanning him like he was some kind of king or something. He did play volleyball with us yesterday, but I remembered seeing him when Syris and I first arrived. My eyes flitted to the left of him when I saw a man, damn near comparable to a God, walked out of his beach house.

A beautiful smile adorned his face as we stared too many seconds too long at each other, but I couldn’t take my eyes off him. It was Muse, and butterflies filled my stomach like crazy. I swam slowly around the water, but not before I noticed how the sun beamed on his dark caramel complexion.

“Morning, Mizz Lady,” he greeted me with that alluring wide smile and thick accent of his.

My God, that man was so breathtaking. I didn’t want to be rude, so I smiled back and gave an awkward wave. Muse blew me an air kiss as I took notice of how tall, sculpted, and striking he was again. I’m not gon lie, had I not been married, I most definitely would have made the first move, but nope not today. I looked back at the other brown- skinned brother with sprinkles of salt and pepper in his hair, and he winked at me.

Quickly, I looked away because I didn’t want any trouble surfacing. I didn’t know what they had going on, but I wasn’t about to entertain either one of them today. With men these days, there was no telling what they had going on, and I didn’t want to cause any problems.

No matter how intrigued I was by Muse, it was best I didn’t indulge him. I backstroked aimlessly around the water until I could no longer take the sun pelting down on me. Just when I was about to step onto the sand, I stepped down on something hard.

“Ouch!” I cooed in slight pain to myself and looked down into the clear blue water.

Squatting, I noticed it was a clam. Looking around, I noticed there were quite a few of them. Some boiled clams with seasoned butter and lemon juice would go perfect for an appetizer as Syris made us dinner. I smiled to myself because look at me being a wife.

Exiting the water, I grabbed my sarong, then entered the water again. I walked and placed as many clams as I could in it. I had a nice amount, and I didn’t want to be greedy, so I placed the last clam into my sarong then left the water. Right when I lifted my sarong, a deep voice scared the hell out of me, and I dropped my clams.

“Do you need any help?” I jumped back hard as hell. “I’m sorry, gorgeous. I didn’t mean to scare you. I’m Desmond,” he stated and extended his hand for me to shake

It was the cutie from earlier who waved at me. Damn he was even more striking up close, but my chest deflated a bit because I wish it had been Muse who approached me instead. His muscular chest was on display as swim shorts covered his lower half. My heart was still beating rather quickly because I didn’t hear him approach me, but then again, footsteps weren’t that noticeable on sand. I placed my hand in his.

“Nice to meet you. I’m Era.” I snatched my hand back and squatted to gather my clams.

He followed suit. “Your name is just as beautiful as you are. Can I give you a hand?”

“Thank you, but I can handle it.”

“Okay. What’s a beautiful woman like yourself doing out here all alone? This is predator season, and a fine specimen like yourself could get wifed-up in the blink of an eye.”
