Three thrusts and his balls drew tight to his body as he howled his pleasure. Hot cum spurted over the tightly clenched fist as Duron shuddered through his climax. The scent of his mate’s cum joined his prolonging Duron’s release as he slammed his mouth against Beaumont’s and swallowed every sound he made as his body trembled against his.
Beaumont went lax against the covers as Duron stopped kissing him to catch his breath. He laid his sweaty cheek against Beaumont’s heaving chest.
In a matter of seconds, Beaumont made the cutest little snuffling noises indicating he’d fallen asleep.
Duron didn’t move, he just lay listening to his mate, enjoying what he’d secretly craved. The closeness he’d witnessed between Ajani and Marvin all those years ago when he’d first become aware there could be more between two shifters than the bars.

Duron hadn’t meant to sleep, but he awoke to the sky turning pink as the sun rose. His body was sticky and covered in flakes of cum as he carefully untangled himself from Beaumont, who remained asleep.
In the shower, he was quick and efficient, drying himself before a sleepy-eyed Beaumont appeared, cracking a yawn.
“I don’t think I’ve slept that well in more than a century.” He kissed Duron, then moved to the toilet to do his business before disappearing into the shower.
Whether it was talking about the past, or just simply the sex, Duron didn’t care. All he knew was that he was responsible for Beaumont getting a solid night’s sleep.
When he stepped to the sink to brush his teeth, he stopped to stare at his reflection in the mirror. The smile he wore was wide; it reflected in his bright eyes. Duron almost didn’t recognize the man in the mirror. The situation they were in was stressful, yet he’d never looked better.
This mating thing… yeah, it definitely had it’s perks.
There was a chuckle, one not disguised by the sound of the shower running. Evidently, his thoughts had amused his mate.
Grinning, he swaggered out of the bathroom to get dressed and go in search of breakfast.
In the kitchen Duron blushed, recalling they were supposed to come back when Nori glanced over his shoulder at him.
“Sleep well?” Nori asked, once more at the stove, this time cooking something that smelled of cheese.
He eyed the pan with interest.
“It’s chipá, a bread made from mandioca, that has eggs and cheese. Want some? I’ve made enough for everyone.”
“Yes please. Can I do anything to help?” Duron offered. He wasn’t bad in the kitchen, though he clearly wasn’t of the same standard as Nori.
“Just get the plates, cutlery, and, if you want, make the coffee.” He nodded to the fancy-looking machine.
Thirty minutes later, everyone was sitting at the table eating. Kylo looked like he’d not slept at all, and Mao wore an expression that could freeze water. Felix said nothing, and Nori chatted about nothing important.
Duron supposed it was all very normal and couldn’t figure out if the behavior was to do with whatever Kylo had discovered the night before, or if it was something else.
Beaumont broke the silence that descended for a few minutes. “I’d very much like a tour of your town, get a feel of the place, if someone would be interested in taking us.”
Kylo looked at Mao. “I’ve a day off. I could show you around.”
Mao’s eyes narrowed as he mouthed, “I’ll stay here.” His hand moved waving around the room in a move that got Kylo nodding.
“I’ve a list of things I need, as we are running short on a few things,” Nori chimed in. “Could you drop me off in town?”
“Yeah, can do,” Kylo said around a mouthful of food.
“I’ll go with Nori. There’s a parcel I need to collect. We could meet you all for lunch in one of the authentic local restaurants. They need to try something other than Nori’s attempts at cooking.”
There was laughter as a fork stabbed at Felix’s hand, only his cat-like reflexes saved it from pinning his hand to the table.
“Behave,” Kylo grunted. “You’d think you were kittens again!”
The good-humored banter continued until they were all squashed inside Kylo’s jeep. Outside of the compound, the atmosphere became tense.
