Alex stared at her.

“I mean, it was the best sex I’ve ever had. He has a truly amazing cock.”

Alice gasped.

“Oh, I like him. Bring him to dinner. I’m going to make Lasagna. Do you like lasagna, Alexander?”

He blinked.

“Did she just whole name me?” he asked Corbin.

She wasn’t having it.

“My son’s dick was in you. That makes you my son now, too. I know him. He’s going to marry you and wasn’t just exaggerating. That makes you mine. You call me Mom, I call you by your name. Is Alexander your name? Or were you just named Alex out of laziness?”

He laughed.

“I mean, my mother was a meth head and died in a meth fire, so, lazy would be a better quality of hers. It’s actually Alexander. She could spell, apparently.”

“I like Alexander. It’s a strong name. Like Alexander the Great. God knows you’ll have to be great to put up with the Crotch Gobin’s antics. Corbin is a handful.”

Alex reached down and cupped his man.

“It’s more like two handfuls.”

Alice blinked, and began laughing outrageously.

“Oh, I love this boy,” she said. “Dinner, next weekend. Bring wine. I have Uno and lasagna planned. I hope you can hold your own in a game of Uno,” she stated. “See you both then. Oh, and Alexander?”

He waited.

“I love you.”

With that, the call went black.

And Alex was overwhelmed.

“I’ll apologize for her. She’s a lot,” Corbin said, not sure how Alex was going to take it. He’d handled Alice well, but as a person who dealt with serial killers all of the time, he had the advantage.

He stopped him.

“I love Uno and lasagna. It’s my favorite food,” he said. “How the hell did she know that?”

Corbin just smiled.

“Oh, well, there’s a story about that, but first, I think we should discuss something else.”

Alex lifted a brow.

“You said two handfuls,” he said, rolling to trap the man beneath him. “Now, show me what you do with that.”

Oh, and Alex did.

Because he had more than hope.

He had the beginning of love.
