“Oh, wow,” I whisper. “That’s good.”

He finally breaks into a smile. It’s the sexy smile he gets when something really amuses him. “It will be,” he says, taking a few steps until he’s directly in front of me. “In fact, it’ll be so much better than good.” He cups my cheeks with his palms and tilts my face up. Letting his lips hover over mine, he adds, “Incredible, even.”

“I can do incredible.” I close my eyes and silently beg him to kiss me. I inch toward him until I feel his lips brushing against mine.

“Good,” he whispers, pressing his lips to mine, firmly this time.

And finally, after weeks filled with days and nights of longing, he’s kissing me. His kiss is both soft and yet somehow commanding at the same time. My knees go weak, my heart spills over with joy, and my lady bits hum with delight. It’s every bit as magical as I knew it would be, and all this from a simple kiss. I place my hands on his chest, parting my lips even more to invite him in. Theo accepts the invitation, and soon, our bodies are pressed together, our hands exploring each other over our business attire, and our mouths are moving in perfect unison.

We kiss until I can’t tell where I end and he begins, until I’m one-hundred percent positive my future lies with this man, wherever we end up. We kiss until my lips are swollen and red, and my only thoughts are of him sweeping everything off his desk and lifting me onto it. We kiss until his phone buzzes, and Jaquell says, “I’m sorry to disturb you, Mr. Rojas, but your seven-thirty appointment is here.”

Pulling back, he says, “Tell her I need another minute.”

“Very good,” Jaquell says.

Theo rests his forehead against mine as we catch our breath. I lift my face to his and smile. “Your seven-thirty better not be some other woman wanting to declare her love for you.”

Chuckling, Theo says, “The chances of that happening are not all that high. I almost never have more than one woman a week coming in for that reason.”

I laugh. “Only one per week?”

“Sometimes two, but it’s rare.” He kisses me again. “And don’t worry because after today I’ll tell the rest of them they’re too late.”

“Theyaretoo late,” I say with a happy sigh. “Thank God I’m not.”

“You could never have been too late.” He brushes his fingertips across my cheek.

“Really?”

“Really. You’re the one I’ve been waiting for my entire life.”

I gaze into his beautiful brown eyes, feeling totally weak and completely alive at the same time. “In that case, I’m even more thrilled I got here today.”

Grinning at me, he says, “So am I.”
