“What the fuck are you wearing?”
“Shut the fuck up and drive.”
“Eww, you fucked him, didn’t you?”
“Shut the fuck up. I got what we needed, didn’t I?”
“As well as fucking chlamydia.”
“Shut the fuck up.” We drive back home in silence, but I can see the smirk on his face. He’s such a fucking dick. How is what I did any different than what he does with Shelley?
When we get back, I dump the pillowcase out onto the table. “Check through this while I go and”—I gesture to myself—“clean all this.”
“Might want to fumigate ya muff while you’re in there.”
“Shut the fuck up.” He barks out a laugh as I stomp into the bedroom. “Motherfucker.”
Once I’m clean, my hair has been scrubbed, my wig has been cleaned, and it’s on the form drying, I slidemy robe on and slip back out. Xav has all the paperwork laid out on the table in piles.
“Did you need to fuck him to get all this?”
“Nope, gotta have some perks, though, right?” I stick my tongue out at him, and he grimaces away, “I hope you fucking cleaned that too.”
I flip him off and look over the ledger. Xav is taking pictures, but he has his cleaning equipment on the kitchen worktop. He knows I will have had to touch stuff, but I only ever touch the corner, and then Xav cleans or removes the corners, making them look dog-eared, so we leave no trace.
Ileave him while he works, and I head to the bedroom to do my own research.
I head out with Xav to kill Don. We pull up down the road in yet another stolen car, we return most of them before the owner even knows they’re gone. Ensuring we leave no evidence is unavoidable; sometimes, we torch them to be sure.
I slip into the shadows and head to the alley. I stay out of view of the bouncer on the door, but we already have a plan in place to distract him.
Don doesn’t use the front entrance. He’s a creature of habit and likes to slip in and out of the back door, so his employees/sex slaves don’t know whether he’s in or not. I hear him speak to the doorman, and I know Xav will place the call to get the doorman inside as Don walks past me. I stay hidden. I slip out of the shadows with my baseball bat raised above my head. Irun and jump towards the wall at the side of him, thrusting myself into the air. He hears the scuffle of the few steps I run and starts to turn, but I’m already in the air. I bring the baseball bat down over his head, cracking him on the back of the skull with the force of a two-hundred-pound man. He crumples to the floor, eyes wide as I bring the bat down on the back of his head, smashing his face into the floor. I’m pretty sure he’s fucked up, so I hit him twice just to make sure he’s sufficiently fucked and then flick him over.
I grimace at his face. I’m not sure even his own mother will recognise him, but just to be on the safe side, I raise my bat over my head and bring it down, driving through his face till his skull splits like a fucking watermelon. I reach into his pocket and remove his wallet, phone, and keys. I turn and slip back out of the alley. I’m covered in blood and brains, so I slide into the car, and Xav looks at me,
“Fuck’s sake, Vic.”
I grin back at him. “Gonna have to torch it!” I laugh.
“Fuck, was the sex that bad?”
“I mean, it wasn’t mind-blowing.” I shrug, and Xav barks out a laugh as I plug the phone in, copy it, and fry it so no one can track it.
“Did you call it in?”
“It’s not my first day, Vic.”
I nod, and we head away from the crime scene as I hear sirens in the distance.

Chapter XIV
There's a manhunt out for whoever killed Don. They’re looking for a six-foot male, weighing two hundred pounds from the trajectory of the hit and the force he was beaten. I’ve looked at the crime scene photos, and the dude was unrecognisable. There was nothing left of his face but mush. Vic’s in the bedroom ‘researching’, she calls it, but we went to see Father this morning, and he berated her again, so she’s hiding away from everyone till she calms down.
A few hours later, she pads out of the room and heads for the door.
“Where the fuck you going?”
