Once I’m no longer being threatened by carbs, I turn on his lap to face him. “So, you fucked me… all night?”

When he made that comment last night, I laughed and told him to go for it. But there’s no way he actually went through with it.

I would be sore.

He would be severely dehydrated.

He chuckles, “You heal quickly. And even if you didn’t, I made sure your body was ready for me, every single time.”

My thighs press together, picturing Sin using my sleeping body all night long.

New kink unlocked?

Sin groans, and his fingers dig into my thighs. “Kitten,” he warns. “You need to eat. But if you keep picturing it and sending lust down the bond, I’m going to spread you over this table and devour you.”

I’m considering his offer when my stomach growls.

My cheeks flush, and Sin loosens his grip.

“Mate is adorable. Cherish her.”His thoughts move to the forefront of my mind, and I realize he’s making sure I hear them, to quell any of my embarrassment.

I bite my lip, once again in awe of how much I love this man.

“She’s biting her lip. Push your cock between them. Make her come until she–”

The thoughts are cut off abruptly, and Sin lets out a cough.

Is he blushing?

“We should change the subject,” he mutters.

I giggle, and immediately, his gaze softens. It’s sweet enough that I don’t tease him.

“Hmm, alright. Well, I know you keep saying that what’s between us is beyond love, but unless you have another word to use instead, could we maybe settle on calling it love anyway?” I ask, and then immediately take another bite of my sandwich, keeping my eyes fixed on my plate, rather than his expression.

Am I ridiculously insecure?

Yes.

Would hearing him tell me he loves me, multiple times a day, forever help with that insecurity?

I’d really like to find out.

He gives a long sigh, like he’s giving my question a lot of thought, and he stays silent until I’ve swallowed my food.

“Kitten?” He starts.

“Hmm?” I answer noncommittally.

He gently tips my chin, so I’m facing him again.

Stormy eyes meet mine.

“I love you,” he says.

I can’t stop my answering smile. I beam at him, and my feet kick a little. If I weren’t so content on his lap, I might even do a happy dance.

Joy pulses through the bond, and he lets me hear his thoughts once more.
