Rosie gives Arianna a disgruntled look. “You can still be a supportive friend without blindly following them.”

Sarah nods, looking at Arianna likeit’s a no-brainer.

Arianna smiles smugly. “Of course you can. But blind, unconditional love and support is what makes me Viv’s favorite.”

Chaos breaks out.

Rosie throws her cupcake wrapper at Arianna’s face, Sarah tries to duck, and the cupcake box tips over.

Shrieking, Arianna launches herself at the pastries, just as I try to do the same.

Less than a minute later, we’re all laughing and covered in icing.

The bed will never recover. Cake is smeared across the blankets, and I’m sitting on Arianna’s back, trying to pry the least damaged cupcake from her hands. “I didn’t have one yet!”

“I said support! NOT cupcakes!” She yells back, still holding it out of reach.

Catching movement out of the corner of my eye, I look over to find Sin strolling into the (definitely locked) room.

His eyes widen, but he only shakes his head before stepping into the silencing shield. I don’t miss the way his lip quirks up, as if he’s trying not to smile.

“We need to leave shortly. The club will be opening soon,” he notes, not acknowledging the bedlam. His eyes trace over me one more time, and he gives me a tender smile before leaving.

Rosie shrieks about timing, and I give her a quizzical expression. “What happened to ‘I just glamour?’ Can’t I glamour for the club?”

Her no-nonsense look is all the warning I need that she’s about to take charge.

Honestly, Iamsograteful.

“You are not fae. So no, you cannot just glamour. Now go shower, quickly,” she snaps.

“Where are you going, anyway?” Sarah asks as I climb off Arianna, sans cupcake.

“The Rusty Dagger. I think it’s some kind of sex club,” I answer with a shrug.

“No, Vivi, it isthemost exclusive fetish club in all the realms,” Rosie corrects, sliding off the bed. “And because I’m a good, supportive friend, even when I don’t agree – because that’s what healthy relationships look like,” she gives a pointed look at Arianna, before unzipping the garment bag and revealing what’s inside. “I think this is the perfect opportunity to see how determined Sin is not to touch you.”

Chapter 46

Vivian’s Point of View

Rule forty-six:When exploring your inner sex goddess, remember, Uno reverse is a power move.

The small college town where I spent the last few years of my life had a single pub. It was nothing fancy, but they had great live music and amazing fish and chips. As such, I’m not prepared for the assault on my senses when we step inside the Rusty Dagger.

The music hits me first. It’s a deep, reverberating bass that pulses through my bones.

The lights are next. It’s dark at the coat check, but further down the corridor, green strobes pierce through fog, moving with the music.

It smells like sweat, sex, and something musky.

Once we apparated back to the Beast Realm, Sin warned me that we were entering a fetish club. He explained that he might say or do things that are explicitin order to blend in, and he reminded me of our safe word.

His expression was so serious, and I couldn’t stop myself from batting my lashes and giving him the same warning.

He was still laughing when he led us inside.

Tonight’s main mission is to find the Harvester, but I’ve decided to tack on a second mission for myself. Namely, I’m going to seduce Sin.
