Okay. I’m excited.
Sylas:

“Ma, guess what?”
“It must be something good the way you're smiling at that phone.”
“You know how hard it’s been to spend time with Sylas because of our schedules?” She nodded. “Well, he talked to some people and got me switched to his flight crew.”
“You seem excited about it, so I take it that’s a good thing.”
“I was a little weary at first, but I’m excited now. You’ll be able to meet him sooner since we’re on the same schedule now.”

I floated around my parents’ house for the rest of my visit. Life was good, and I was excited about the direction it was going.
The first fewdays with Khiya on my crew went off without a hitch. Aria and June welcomed her, and the three of them worked well together. Obviously, we had jobs to do, so while we worked, that was our focus, but knowing she was close did my heart good.
