“Lyssa,” I growl, nudging just the head inside her.

“Don’t make me wait,” she moans, wrapping her legs around me, making it impossible for me to think straight. “You’re mine,” I snarl, “and I need to hear you say it.”

“I’m yours, Creed, always.”

That’s all it takes. I crash my mouth down on hers, claiming her forever as she arches, rubbing herself against me, making me groan into her lips. One last look into her fiery eyes and I’m lost. I push into her slowly, and the stretch makes her gasp and tense.

Fuck, she’s tight. I’m not small and she probably hasn’t been with anyone since me. The thought alone nearly undoes me.

“Breathe, Lyssa,” I murmur.

She shakily inhales, and I sink deeper until I’m buried to the hilt. When she melts around me, soft and wet and perfect, a shudder rolls through my whole body and I start moving, slowly at first, until my control starts to fray with every thrust. “I’m going to fill you up tonight,” I rasp against her ear. “Put a baby in your belly and watch you swell with our child.”

The words hit her like a spark to dry tinder. She clenches hard, pulling me in deeper. I increase my rhythm. Her control is slipping. I can see it and it’s intoxicating, knowing she craves only me. Her back lifts off the rug as she screams my name. And … I’m gone. My hips snap and I pump into her desperately. She clings to me and rides me just as hard, meeting every thrust. I come with a choked groan, pulsing inside her, and filling her with every drop of seed I’ve saved up just for her.

We collapse, slick, panting, and tangled together. I keep her locked against me until our breathing evens out.

I press a kiss to her forehead. “I was the coward. I almost lost the most important person in the world to me. I love you, Lys. Have since the day you started laughing at my bad jokes, and I never stopped.”

“I love you too. Always have.”

“Then what the fuck have we been doing?” I ask, and she shakes her head with a half-smile.

“No fucking clue.”

I shift and pull a blanket off the old sofa. This place has been in my family for years. We only use it in emergency situations if the weather turns suddenly. I drape the fuzzy fabric over us and tighten my arms around her. “I’ve been giving my job a lot of consideration. You gave it your best shot at dealing with the dangers of me being a lineman. Now, it’s my turn to give. In the past, I didn’t have the choice to leave. I’m one of the best at what I do and I needed the work.”

“And now you have something else lined up?” Her fingers trace lazy circles on my chest.

“Not exactly, but we have a full staff, a great group of men, and Zephyr is attempting to grow the business, so we’re thinking of moving things around. Zephyr’s been slowly phasing out of working in the field. He needs the flexibility to travel so we can build Montana Maverick Lines and expand into other states. I could move into another position at home, keep the fort down from the office, take over some of his responsibilities. I still might have to work the lines occasionally, depending on the crew, the weather, and circumstances, but I could cut way back. Would that make you happy?”

“Seriously?” Her voice cracks. “You could do that?”

“My brothers and I have been talking and planning on acquiring more contracts for a while. Zephyr’s close to signing a deal with the state of Wyoming. So yes, it’s something I would do in a heartbeat. It just took us a while to get to this stage, but hell, I’m ready to quit the whole thing if it meant I could spend forever with you.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because I wasn’t sure it mattered, and we were broken up. In case you hadn’t noticed, we haven’t exactly been communicating.”

She laughs that soft, teasing sound I’ve missed more than air. “Ah … you picked up on that too?” She rolls on top of me. I look up at her, grinning like an idiot.

“I take it you’re good with the new plan?”

“More than okay.” She bends and kisses me. “That is, if we survive tomorrow. Think the producers have a search party out looking for us?”

“Let them try. They’ll never find us. Now, where were we?” I grip her hips, flip her under me again, my cock already throbbing against her slick opening. “I’m not moving until we seal the deal.”

We spend the rest of the night proving it over and over until the sun rises and we finally drag ourselves back to the compound.

When we walk into the main lodge, Elena shoots out of her chair. “You violated every protocol!”

I shrug, keeping my arm locked around Lyssa. “Worth it.”

Later, Gideon pulls me aside, away from the cameras. “You stole her.”

“Sure did. I had to.” I meet his eyes. “Couldn’t watch this nonsense anymore.”

He nods slowly. “Then prove you deserve her. All the way. No more running.”
