Then she reached between us, jacking me some more, pleasuring me even as her expression turned serious.“I’ve been on birth control the entire time we’ve been together.I haven’t been with anyone else since our first date.”

My heart slammed against my ribs at where I thought—hoped—this conversation was going. All I said was, “I haven’t had sex with anyone but you since I arrived on campus last winter.”

“Good.Because I think we’re out of condoms.”

“And?”

“And I’ve never done this bare before, but I’d like to—with you.”

It was as close to a declaration as I’d ever heard from her, and it was all I could do to rein in a shout of pure joy.Instead I said, “We can be each other’s firsts.”Staring deep into her eyes, I added, “And lasts.”

For a second, she stilled, and I worried I’d rushed her. Then a smile ghosted her lips as she guided me to her entrance, taking her sweet-ass time sliding down my cock until I was balls-deep inside her.Her slick, wet heat nearly undid me on the first downstroke.Gripping her hips, I held on tight as she set a leisurely rhythm that was sure to drive me right out of my mind.

“Saylor,” I gritted through clenched teeth.

As though she were experimenting with us, she circled her hips as she kept to her maddeningly slow pace.I’d been keyed up since before I’d fully woken up, but since she decided to take us bare, my abs were in agony as I tried to hold back and let her have her way.She seemed to sense my problem, as she feathered her fingers down my body from my pecs to my pubes, grinning wickedly.

“You said this relaxes you,” she teased, her inner muscles clamping down on my shaft with each long downstroke.

“Uh-huh, and now playtime is over.Ride me, Saylor.”

That must have been what she was waiting for, because she flattened her palms on my chest and started rocking over me hard and fast.Sweat beaded on her brow as she panted my name over and over. When she couldn’t reach the pace we both needed, I held her where I wanted her and drove up into her.

“Get there, baby,” I pleaded.“I need you to come.”

She dropped one hand to rub and tease her clit, and a second later she was screaming my name to the walls of her bedroom.A stroke later, and my shouts joined hers as the orgasm barreled down my spine.

“Baby!Baby!Baby!Oh, holyfuuuck, Saylor!”Breath sawed in and out of my chest as I came down from the heaven my girl had flown me to.“No one else in the world can do what you do for me,” I panted.

As I smoothed my hands along her sweaty back where she lay across my chest, her breath puffed against the side of my neck, while our hearts thundered against each other’s.

“For the record, Saylor, when it comes to you, I’m not going anywhere. Not now.Not ever.Even if we’re not together on the same continent, you will always be right here.”I slipped my hand between us, covering my heart.“No matter what.”

She pushed herself up to stare down into my eyes, the expression in hers more serious than I’d ever seen it.“It comes down to trust, doesn’t it?”Tracing her fingertips over my hand, she picked it up and nestled my palm between her breasts, where her heart thumped against it.“I trust you.I believe in you.Now it’s time for me to believe in us as much as you do.”

“You get some things worked out last night?”Bax asked as we headed out to the field for warm-ups.

“Yep.”I didn’t even attempt to stop the grin from spreading over my face.“You show up today relaxed?”

His answering smirk told me he knew exactly what I was referencing.“Nothing like a brisk workout or two in Cupid’s gymnasium to prepare a guy for a battle between the hashes.”

Right then someone decided to go old-school by blasting Poison’s “Nothing But a Good Time” through the PA in the stadium.Bax and I burst out laughing at all the levels of appropriate that song was.We fist-bumped and ran out to join our respective units in the team drills.

It seemed only seconds had passed before we were back in the locker room listening to our coaches’ final instructions and last-minute pep talk. The thundering applause of the fans filtered down the tunnel as a dull roar—one that intensified to ear-numbing decibels as we ran out onto the field in the inimitable Wildcat way: behind racing horses and tumbling cheerleaders, the marching band blaring our fight song while fireworks faded in the afternoon sun and a squadron of fighter jets flew overhead. The spectacle of it all was better than the D-1 school I’d left behind, and every game I was a part of was one more game that left me certain transferring to MSC was the best move I’d ever made.

We lost the toss, which gave the Chanticleers the advantage of starting the game on defense and the second half on offense—or so they thought. Our offense was determined to make them pay, but after the first quarter when they stymied both our ground and our air attack, we needed a spark.During the media timeout between the first and the second quarter, Danny said something to Coach Wiley that put such a feral grin on his face it made me nervous.

“Remember that trick play we drew up in practice last week?”Coach asked.“It’s time to run it.”

Tarvi shot a fist into the air.“That’s what I’m talkin’ about.”Shooting me his biggest Tarvi grin—the one that could probably be seen from space—he said, “Shake-n-bake, baby.Shake-n-bake.”

We ran back out on the field to line up at second and ten from our own thirty.Tarvi took the direct snap from Dally and handed off to Danny on the end-around.When Danny reached the right hash, he turned back and tossed a perfect spiral back to me where I waited on the left hash. While all our theatrics behind the line of scrimmage had the defense scrambling, Callahan drew the secondary’s attention with a crossing route, while Mitchell ran his favorite post.No one was paying attention to Josh Mitchell when I caught him in stride and dropped the ball perfectly in his waiting hands, a fifty-yard strike.

The crowd erupted as Mitch outran the defense to cross into the end zone, holding the ball high above his head. The entire offense raced down to congratulate him on finally breaking the stalemate, putting us up 6-0.A few minutes later, Dalton did his thing, and we were leading 7-0.No doubt the film guys were going to have some fun with this play when we watched it later.Even as it played out, the theme song to theBenny Hill Showplayed in my head exactly as it had the first time we’d run it in practice. But it worked like a charm.

Following the success of that trick play, we didn’t look back.

When the final whistle blew, we had the win, 28-14, after never trailing in the game.Same as the conference win, the fans swarmed the field, but I only had eyes for one.Saylor met me in the end zone below the student section, and I didn’t care who saw me lift my girl high in the air to spin her around before setting her back on her feet, where I could pull her close and kiss her senseless.
