The man even mumbled a sorry. What the fuck is going on?I kept my eyes on the man who was supposed to guard me and looked down at the knot tied over my wrists. It was loosening as Sean kept talking about random clauses and dropping piles of papers after papers on the floor, dust flying everywhere.

Since everyone had their attention on him, his charm and effortless yapping consuming them, I almost got out of the ropes.

Sean dropped the final set of papers and said, “In conclusion, this is illegal and you need to pay fifty-six million dollars to the parties affected.”

That is his fucking plan?

Make them pay everyone back because it was illegal?

Some of the men started laughing, and I pulled off the ropes when something dropped in the middle of the hall. It was shaped like a ball.

I stared at Sean, seeing him put his glasses away in a side pocket. He stood up from the chair to fight off the two men who were standing behind him.

Everything fell into chaos. Adrenaline pumped in my veins. I jumped, seeing the little ball hiss and release smoke in the air. Sean ran towards me as men in dark uniforms entered the hall through every single door with guns in their hands. Some even broke the windows and jumped inside, making my pulse jump.

Sean was beside me in seconds, untying the knot on my feet and helping me up. “I’m so sorry, Princess,” he whispered, covering me as gunshots were fired. He covered my ears and pulled me closer.

I held onto him, too scared to let him go, as tears burned in my eyes. “Is my mom okay?” I asked when he led me out of the hall and into another dark hallway. It seemed empty besides the two of us.

“Marie and Noah are safe. Don’t worry.” He paused and looked around, holding my shoulders and checking me everywhere. “Are you hurt? Did they hit you? Touch you?”

“T-they didn’t.” I shook my head. “They just wanted money.”

His eyes hardened when he looked at the light bruise on my arms from where they had held me too tight. He pulled me closer and said, “I’m never leaving you alone now.”

“Okay,” I breathed out, glad to see him safe and unharmed. “I don’t wanna be alone.”

“Let’s get out of here,” he said and tapped something in his ear and said, “Target secured. Leaving from gate three.”

I stared at his focused face and the thin sheet of sweat. I had seen him fight those two men who had more muscles than him. It was so hot how he had used his swift punches and kicks before running to me.

He had done all that to save me.

My stomach felt warm when his hand wrapped around my shoulder and pulled me closer.

“Daddy,” I whispered.

He glanced at me before making sure the path was safe. “Yes?”

I licked my lips and said, “I’m going to give you the sloppiest blow job of your entire life when we get back home.”

Sean paused, his pupils dilating as the pink hue climbed over his neck and cheeks. “Don’t get me hard now, Princess,” he said with a small smile.

I returned that smile.

Soon. We will get home soon.

I saw a broken door and knew we were leaving from there. He opened it, “You go first.”

I was about to step out on the dusty ground into the evening night when a gunshot fired through the air. I gasped when Sean’s body slammed into me, covering me as we both fell out of the old building.

“Good,” he said, his arms covering me. “Good. You’re safe.”

“Sean!” I called out when other men in uniform rushed to us. I scrambled out of his hold and looked back to see a man being pinned down on the ground.

“Sean,” I said, my hands shaking. My bottom lip quivered when I saw the blood on his shirt. “No, no, no.”
