“Are you saying you want all three of us, Lydia?” Hendricks asks.

I nod. “That’s exactly what I’m saying.”

“Then I think we can make that happen for you,” Jack says, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.

“Welcome to your new home,” Maverick says.

And I do feel right at home.

Epilogue

LYDIA- ONE YEAR LATER

The wedding happens at midnight. When the full moon sits high in the sky making the light fog shimmer as it rolls across the ground in lazy swirls. It’s the perfect setting to say our vows.

My dress is as dark as night, dipping low in the front to show off my cleavage in a tasteful but seductive way. The material glitters with a thousand tiny hand stitched silver gems, and my veil cascades over my bare shoulders trailing behind me in a sea of black lace. My hair is curled in soft waves that frame my face, and my friends helped put on my makeup to give me that perfect glam bride vibe I’ve always wanted. They’re each wearing a blue bridesmaid dress that gives Greek Goddess vibes. Audrey has taken the role of Maid of Honor, making sure everything goes off without a hitch.

With my transformation into vampire form I feel like I’m finally at home in my own skin. There’s always been a part of me that felt as if it were missing. A part that felt out of step with everyone else.

I don’t feel that way anymore.

I feel treasured and whole. And completely head over heels in love with my soulmates.

Olivia’s two girls head down the aisle first, tossing chunks of red rose petals along the forest floor. They join their mom who’s sitting next to Phantom and Matchbox, while she looks up at Talon. He’s agreed to officiate our wedding, though he grumbled plenty about it when we asked.

Each one of my friends descends down the makeshift aisle in the middle of the forest as fairy lights twinkle above. I take this moment to steady my nerves.

My bouquet of calla lilies is clutched in my hands acting as the perfect talisman to channel all my anxieties into. I’m not nervous about the wedding or about saying yes to these two vampires that have claimed my heart. I’m nervous that I’ll find a way to trip in front of all our guests. While I’ve shed many parts of myself in my transition, my clumsiness is something that still clings to me no matter what. It’s nice to know some things don’t change.

The music swells and our guests rise. That’s my cue to step out of the shadows, and I do to a collective gasp of awe once they see me.

I’m smiling like an idiot the moment my gaze catches the three grooms waiting for me at the end of the aisle.

All three are dressed in matching tuxedos, looking as devastatingly handsome as the day I met them.

Maverick shoves his hands in his pockets and smiles at me wide, while Hendricks fiddles with his cuffs looking nervous and excited. He has his fangs digging into his bottom lip where his lip ring sits prominently in the center.

Jack is looking stoic, but I can see from here that his eyes are glassy, like he’s trying hard not to cry. I almost start blubbering right then because I’m so damn happy.

It’s too bad vampires don’t photograph, because I would have loved to look at this moment over and over again. The two of them seeing me walk towards them. I do my best to commit it to memory, while concentrating on my steps.

Once I make it to the altar, Talon clears his throat and motions for our guests to sit.

They do and I stare at my soon to be husbands feeling my stomach clench in anticipation. This is really happening. I’m about to be their wife. And they’re going to be my husbands. After everything we went through to get to this moment, I can hardly believe it’s actually here. That I get to have my happily ever after.

I’m so caught up in the moment that I don’t hear Talon ask me if I take my husbands.

“Wait, what?” I ask, blinking hard like I’m coming out of a trance.

Our guests chuckle and I sheepishly turn my attention to Talon so I can repeat the words.

“I take thee Maverick, Hendricks, and Jack, to be my monstrously devoted husbands. Until death parts us.”

They each say their vows back to me and place a silver ring, one on top of the other, onto my ring finger. The three rings fit together seamlessly like puzzle pieces. We had them made so that I could have one to represent each of my husbands, based on the original ring Maverick first gave me.

Then Maverick and Hendricks make a vow to each other. And Jack watches on with a smile as they commit to each other.

I place a ring on each of my new husband’s fingers, then before I know it, Talon is saying you may kiss the bride.
