“What’s this?” He asks, picking up my sketchbook with a frown.
“Oh, just some doodles. Nothing important.” I go to grab for it, but he pulls back, studying it.
“Graham?”
He shakes his head. “It feels familiar. Not to me, but to…” He gestures to his chest and understanding dawns on me.
“Your demon?” Graham nods, sitting next to me on the bed, I lean over looking at the drawing with him.
“I keep seeing it in my mind. Can you… can you try asking it what this is?”
Graham balks at me, “Are you crazy? You want me to engage with it?”
“Please. I need to know what this is, and why I keep drawing it.”
Immediately, once the words are out of my mouth, Graham’s face completely changes. His brows tug low, and his smile turns menacing.
“Daughter of Spring and brimstone, you know not what you ask.” Graham’s voice sounds demonic as his face contorts with a sneer.
“…Gluttony?”
“You must not let her open it.” He says clawing at my hands. Graham’s eyes look wild, desperate and dark.
“Open what? Who?”
Graham starts coughing uncontrollably and then slumps forward. I catch him before he flattens me.
“Graham? Graham!” I shake his shoulders, to no avail. I panic, slapping my hand across his face.
“What the fuck!” He curses, standing up in a hurry, pushing his fingers into his curled hair. “Did you just get him to talk through me?”
“I don’t know, I just asked you a question and it started talking. Has it ever done that before?”
He shakes his head in disbelief, “No, that felt fuckin’ weird.” He grasps at his chest rubbing his sternum. “I think we need to tell the guys that they can do that.”
He bolts from my room and runs down the stairs, leaving me wondering if they can talk through the guys, what else can they do?

GARRISON
SONG: REVOLUTION BY THE SCORE
“What’s up, man?” I ask, lifting the teacup to my mouth.
“I need answers and I need to ruin him Gare.” Lukas looks over at me, his eyes lacking any warmth and his hair looking unwashed. He’d called me early this morning to meet at a coffee shop in Seattle. Apparently, his dad had named the funeral date now that Pierce was presumed dead, and Lukas was barely holding it together. It was all over the news,Ledger Enterprises’ CEO mourns son.
“My family never told me anything, same as you. I was given vague expectations and thinly veiled threats.”
“We need to get to the bottom of this and figure out what their plans are. I want them all to suffer for doing this to us.”
“I agree, but what do you want from me?”
“Everyone knows how talented you are with organizing, that’s why you’re always in charge of the parties.”
I rub my chin. “If I help with this, then I want Skye.”
He sits up like I just slapped him. “She’s not something you can collect, Gare.”
