“Fuck.”I glance around and think where the fucker would go.“The strip club or the whorehouse.Dammit.He might even head for our clubhouse.”

Sevrin steps closer.“Torch this place. One of my men will take the women and make sure they keep their mouths shut.I’m going to go out back and track Norris. You should head back to my niece while the others check out the other two places.”

I nod.“You heard the man.Kepner, Remus, torch the place and join me back at the clubhouse. The rest of you split up to check the two other places they own. There’s no need for other casualties so only check if the fucker is there. With most of their members dead, and the clubhouse burned to the ground, they’ll have nothing left to stay here.Though, we need that fucker who is still out there.”

Mumbles of agreement ring out.

Turning to Heart, I tell him, “Let’s go.I need my eyes on my woman if that fucker is out there. He’s aware there’s nothing left for him here, and it’s not hard to guess he’s out for revenge.”

Heart follows right behind me.“We should circle the block to check if we see the fucker.Even if Sevrin and his guys will track him.”

I nod and straddle my bike as I reach for my phone.Shooting off a quick message into the group app, I instantly alarm every other member to keep an eye out for Norris. At least now everyone is aware the asshole slipped through our fingers.

The restlessness roaring inside me is pumping adrenaline through my veins.I won’t fucking rest until that fucker is dead. He’s the only threat keeping me from focusing on a future.

The only shit the club is wrapped in is the gunrunning business, and that’s not going to change.Besides, we haven’t had any issues for decades, even when my father held the gavel.Norie is well aware of this little fact so there are no secrets between us.

After circling the block a few times, we head to the clubhouse. We’re almost at the gate when I feel a hard strike at my shoulder.Beside me I hear Heart curse and I barely manage to steer my bike onto club property as Heart closes the gate behind me.

Hitting the kickstand, I jump off my bike and palm my gun, ready to go out there, when Heart is in front of me.

“Stop, man. You’re not going out there to hunt the fucker down in the dark.We didn’t even see him coming and look at your damn arm.Come on.We need to go inside.”He’s shoving me back and I reluctantly let him.

The door of the clubhouse swings open and Norie is standing in the doorway.

“Get your ass inside,” I growl.

She stumbles back when I move forward.Heart slams the door shut behind us.

My gaze goes to one of Sevrin’s men.“Norris is out there.Any way you guys can track a man the way Sevrin mentioned he would?”

All I get is a few chin lifts and then they split up and move out through the back.

I glare at Heart.“I should be out there going after that fucker.”

Heart snorts.“He wants you to headbutt a bullet. You were lucky you were on the bike, a moving target instead of a sitting duck.”

“I want to rip that fucker apart with my bare hands,” I snarl and hiss when I move my arm.

“Get the doctor,” Norie snaps at a prospect.

Moving to the couch, I sink down and grumble, “The doc must still be busy with Tybal. He should focus on him.I can wait.”

“Tybal’s vitals are steady,” the doctor states as he strides closer, medical bag in hand.

I shrug out of my cut.Norie is suddenly in front of me, helping me to get out of the shirt.

“Can I expect more gunshot wounds to come in?”the doctor grumbles as he leans in to place his glove-covered hands on me.

“Life is always full of surprises, so who the fuck knows what comes knocking next,” Heart says.

“Hopefully the rest of our friends without any injuries,” Norie dryly replies.

The worry on her face makes me reach out to her with my good arm.She grabs my hand and gives it a gentle squeeze.

I try to keep my voice steady when I tell her, “I’m fine.”

“He is.The bullet went straight through and nothing vital was hit.I’m going to sedate, clean the wound, and...”
