“Sounds great.”
I gave him one last smirk before I set off down the line of vehicles and tents to find my sister. The last thing I wanted was for her to think I'd disappeared without comment for her to find me balls deep in Lincoln in his tent. Even though I absolutely planned to be. Although, it'd been a long time since I'd bottomed, so I wasn’t opposed to that either. But first things first. I needed to alert Myers of my deviation.
Lincoln's tent was the furthest from the bonfire, so I had a bit of a trek back to our RV. I had to assume that Myers was done helping everyone else clean up by now. Sure enough, when I happened upon the bonfire, it was void of the folding chairs we'd set around it as low embers glowed at the bottom of the fire pit.
The sound of twigs snapping set my senses on high alert. It was so quiet around here that the loudest thing was usually either conversation when people were around or the sound of cicadas when there wasn't. I searched through the shadows forthe culprit, and my breath caught in the back of my throat when I discovered the source of the sound.
An Orb had just come out of their RV directly across from the bonfire, and he was absolutely breathtaking to behold as the moonlight helped to illuminate him. I'd never met one of the tree based Orbs before and to see one so unexpectedly, though the lens of the beer goggles my eyes currently had glazed over them, only heightened what I was seeing.
He was taller than me, which was saying something because I was already six foot four. His skin looked like it was completely made of smooth wood, containing the same lines that the center of a typical log of lumber would have. But the wooded skin he harbored was a shade of purple that really seemed to set him apart while also making him blend into the darkness of the night. Aside from his skin, he looked fairly human. The only thing about him that wasn't purple was the color of his eyes, a gorgeous vibrant shade of orange that would have matched beautifully to some of the trees here in the park if the sun was around to cast light around us. Matching the color of his eyes was the short hair that was sheared to perfection, orange strands that swayed as the late night breeze wafted between his waves.
He was wearing a hunter green polo with a white collar that paired well with his dark green jeans. He also had two simple and small gold hoops through both of his ears. Something as simple as realizing that Orbs could also get their ears pierced made it even more obvious to me just how like humans they were.
“My apologies.” He said as he fully stepped down from the stairs of the RV he'd just vacated. “I didn't mean to startle you.”
“Oh, you didn’t.” I began, and there was a flutter in my stomach in reaction to his deep and husky voice. “I mean, you did, but it's fine.”
A puzzled look scrolled down his features. “Are you alright?”
I scoffed, putting on a smile even though I didn't understand why I was reacting this way to him. He was attractive. Handsome, even. And the fact that he was a species of Orb I'd never laid my eyes on before only added to the intrigue that was causing my dick to swell. I ran a hand over my face to reset. I needed to get back to Lincoln before he thought I'd blown him off. And that wasn't the kind of blown I was hoping for.
“Just a bit drunk.” I told him with a nod.
“Ahh, I see. Are you alone?” He looked around to the emptiness that was readily available. “Would you like for me to walk you? You are staying here, yes?”
The onslaught of multiple questions caused me to pause and stutter, trying to find my words appropriately. “Yeah, I'm staying here at the park for a bit. You?”
“No.” He shook his head, tilting it in the direction of the RV behind him. “Just visiting. My co-worker had us over.”
Somehow through the alcohol I remembered that the RV he'd come from belonged to the family of stellymn that Darlene and Gerald had mentioned to us.
I cleared my throat, finding the words to another one of his prior questions. “That's great. I can make it back myself.” I pointed to the RV in the distance that had been my home for the past ten months. “I’m just down there.”
“Alright, as long as you're sure.” He smiled and I swore internally. That smile was crafted by the universe to absolute perfection.
I had to get away from this Orb. I was too horny and too mentally muddled by the beer to think straight. I was only a few short steps away from jumping his bones instead of Lincoln's and I'd just met the guy. Granted, I just met Lincoln too but whatever. This guy didn't need me slobbering over him and I had a perfectly handsome guy already propositioning me that Ineeded to get to before he seriously thought I'd forgotten about him.
“Well, have a good night.” I smiled warmly, taking a few slow steps away so he'd understand that I was trying to politely end the conversation.
“Goodnight.” He mirrored my smile, but I had to turn away from how cute he looked.
Making my way back to the RV, I couldn't help but notice that my dick was hard as fuck, harder than it had been before I'd run into that Orb.
At least Lincoln could benefit from my unplanned detour.
Chapter 4
My hands tangledin Lincoln's hair, pulling him closer against my frame while our kiss deepened. His palm rubbed roughly against the bulge in my jeans, causing a rough growl to emit from the depths of my throat. My dick was already leaking and both of us were wearing way too many fucking clothes.
I'd made haste in telling Myers not to wait up for me, telling her as fast as I could so I could get back to Lincoln. She was ecstatic that I was heading to hookup with him, but I dismissed any other conversation so I could hurry up and get back to him.
Meeting the forest Orb was still stuck in my brain, even as Lincoln's hands found the waistband of my jeans. I was trying to allow it to leave my mind, but it was proving to be more difficult than I would have thought. What was it about the Orb that was sticking to the walls of my mind?
He’s fucking hot and you're fucking horny. The thought was very matter of fact, and I couldn't deny it. I hadn't had sex in several months, so maybe that's all it was. Whatever it was, I was trying to forget about it and focus on the hot guy in front of me instead of the one lingering between the wrinkles of my brain. At the very least, I wanted to fuel those feelings into giving Lincoln the attention he deserved.
Lincoln broke our kiss at the same time he was successful in popping the button of my jeans, the surroundings of his tent coming into clearer view.
The lavish tent that he was staying in was completely circular, a wooden slat as the flooring that did well with the off-white fabric that comprised the walls. Towards the back of the spacious interior was what looked like a queen sized bed. Not an air mattress, not a mattress just thrown on the ground. A full fucking bed. On either side of his bed were nightstands in a light grey wood finish, housing his various chargers for the plethora of devices he might own. There was afuckingrecliner on one side that was wrapped in lush purple fabric that looked a lot like velvet. Given Lincoln's background, it probably was velvet. He didn't have a bathroom or any other room for that matter, but it looked completely lush compared to how the other tenants in tents at the park lived.
