“Like you’re touching my dick,” Wrex whispered. “They’re just as sensitive…maybe more.”

Growling in equal measures of intrigue and lust, I slithered my fingers across the underside of his wings again. Wrex’s dick jerked in the air, and I watched as a gush of pre-cum dripped from him, practically looking like a single shot of cum had just firedout of his cock. Desire rolled an earthquake through my body as I slowly, with a wicked stare to him, slid down to my knees in front of him.

Feeling devilish, I took hold of him from the base of his dick, recalling words he’d once said to me the first time we’d hooked up. “I guess it’d be considerate of me to help you with this.”

With an inhuman growl, Wrex tangled his hands in my hair and said, “Less talking, more dick sucking.”

Smirking playfully, I slapped the head of his dick on my cheek before saying, “You got it.”

Chapter 18

After giving Wrex another orgasm,we’d parted for the night. I wasn’t upset that Wrex was opting to sleep at his place rather than sharing my bed. As much as I loved the smell of him in my sheets, I was enjoying the variety of not having to lay next to someone all the time. Sometimes you just needed to stretch the width of your bed alone and fall asleep without hitting someone across the mattress.

What also felt nice was the fact that a couple days had lapsed and we hadn’t seen each other. I was so used to utilizing all my free time with my partner that being able to give myself time alone to just chill and play video games, or whatever else I wanted to do…I could never describe how much it filled my soul.

I hadn’t felt particularly compelled to message Wrex about hooking up again because work was getting most of my attention and by the time Thursday morning rolled around, I felt like the board was fully prepared to give our presentation we’d crafted for Hudson Rowe.

Swapping my thoughts of Wrex for facts based on the information the board had accumulated over the days leading up to our presentation for the detective, Francyn and I took turns delivering the news to him. We’d learned all the names of the missing petrylle, found all their places of employment as well as their current housing. It took a lot of work, mainly thanks to Cresh, Shelvi, Fanna, and Berthyll, but we’d also managed to find out the last place every missing petrylle had been before they’d gone missing. It was a lot of information to relay, but I had every faith that the great detective sitting on the farthest end of the boardroom table could handle it.

After telling him all of the information, the last thing that I expected to see from Hudson was a smile.

“I gotta say, I wasn’t expecting such a….thorough gathering of intel.” I wasn’t sure that was a compliment but it wasn’t dismissive either, which was a win in my book. “I’m impressed.”

Francyn beamed giddily, clasping her hands together like he’d just told her she was the most beautiful creature in the world. I simply nodded, gesturing back to the white board with all the details we’d uncovered.

“Is this enough for you to help us with our next move?”

“Absolutely.” Hudson said without hesitation, standing up and striding over to the white board so that he could take in the words we’d written in greater detail. He pointed to the name at the bottom of the missing petrylle list. “We start here.”

He was pointing at the name Prescel, the latest kidnapped petrylle that we knew of. Her address, place of employment, and her last known whereabouts were listed to the right of her name.

“Why there first?”

“Because she’s the latest one to go missing,” Hudson nodded. “I’m assuming all the information you’ve compiled is available for me to go over?”

I glanced over at Maxim, who was sitting at his usual spot in the corner typing away on his laptop, and gave him a single nod. Maxim produced a flash drive from somewhere and held it up for the detective. Hudson stomped over (because a man of his size couldn’t do anything but stomp, I was beginning to realize) and graciously accepted the flash drive.

“Perfect. I’ll go over everything, but we’ll definitely start with the latest kidnapping victim and work backwards from there. We’ll start at her home address to speak with her family.”

“Her family?” I heard Francyn squeak out inquisitively. “Why?”

Hudson gave her a small smile as he gave Maxim a nod as a thank you for the flash drive. “To rule them out as suspects.”

“You really think fellow petrylle could be behind the kidnappings?” I asked out of pure curiosity. I didn’t think so, given what Wrex had told me about how close petrylle families were, but I figured that anything was possible, given the circumstances.

“One thing you learn in law enforcement, Mr. Watson,” Hudson huffed, dropping the flash drive into the pocket of his green slacks. “Everyone, and I do meaneveryone, can be a suspect. We’re just getting the information directly from Prescel’s family so we can identify any tells or gaps in information that doesn’t match what’s already been solidified.”

That made sense, I just hated the idea that petrylle would be attacking their own community in this way. Especially with how on edge Wrex and Wrage were about it, even though their efforts to display how the kidnappings were making them feel were definitely in exact opposition.

With our next plan of action voiced, Hudson told everyone that he would be going with the investigative team comprising of Francyn, Ozmo, Zxe and myself, to visit the family tomorrow morning after he dealt with his other cases.

After thanking the detective for his time, once he left I reiterated the plan of action to the rest of the board, making sure that everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing while the investigative team was on the ground tomorrow morning. The rest of the board would be continuing their canvassing to ensure that there were no missing pieces of information. Before breaking for lunch, I told the others that would be with the detective tomorrow morning with me that we’d meet after lunch to discuss our game plan.

The stress of meeting with one of the kidnapped petrylle’s family was weighing on me as I accepted the quesadilla that Maxim handed to me in the takeout styrofoam. He’d run down to a local restaurant and gotten the board food while I was reiterating things, thankful that we had the budget to have takeout lunch every day.

I tried to shed the stressful aura emanating from me as I closed the door to my office, sitting down behind my desk with a huff. Work was about to get a hell of a lot more difficult once we were actively on the hunt for the missing petrylle and my stomach burned with need at the thought of appeasing some much needed stress with Wrex. Even though it’d only been a few days since we last had sex, I felt myself craving it again. Not just with anyone. Specifically him.

Which was dangerous. I didn’t want to stop our arrangement by any means, but if I let myself, I could point out the telltale signs that my dick wasn’t the only thing getting caressed every time we exchanged fluids. My heart was in no condition for it, and I needed to tread carefully. That being said, what I wouldn’t give for a quick fuck with Wrex tonight.
