“Please, be more careful mate,” Reikan murmurs against her skin.

He pulls away once more, and Aerin yelps when his teeth sink into the flesh of her previously unmarred ass cheek. He releases his teeth and lets his tongue sooth the bite. Aerin shivers with pleasure and pain. “OnlyIcan leave marks on your skin. Do you understand?”

Aerin nods against the comforter. A breathless, “Yes,” falling from her lips.

“Good.” He slides his fingers from her center and almost laughably, places her completely ruined panties back in place.

He leans fully away, not touching her anywhere. Aerin misses the warmth immediately. She glances back. He seems placated now, so she rolls over onto her backside, relishing in the way the bite he gave her stings.

“The Fae will not admit it, but the blood-bond is craving more blood. It was prior to this, but seeing you wounded, saving you, seems to have increased the need tenfold. This blood-bond is peculiar. You must be careful with it. Offer him your blood and he will not be able to deny you.”

Aerin opens her mouth to protest, to ask questions, maybe even to beg him to fuck her before he goes, but Reikan is too quick. One blink and ice blue eyes are back. The scales recede leaving only Malice’s tanned skin. His wings, brown again, snap close to his body once more.

“What happened?” Malice rears off the bed.

Sighing, Aerin pulls herself up to lean against the headboard.

“He inspected me, made sure I am… fine.” Aerin’s voice trails off, unsure of how much to tell Malice. A part of her feels guilty about Reikan using Malice’s body to pleasure Aerin. Does Malice deserve to know? Will it make their relationship better or worse? Will he hate her more?

“Why do you smell aroused?” he asks, his fists tightening. His shoulders, biceps, abdominal muscles, everything goes tight.

“You try having a massive Dragon sniffing and dragging his talons up and down your body and see if you don’t get turned on,” Aerin says with an eye roll. A silence stretches on before Aerin adds, “By the end he seemed placated. But he is worried about you, about the blood-bond.”

In a movement that almost seems unconscious Malice rubs his hand over his ribs, the same spot Aerin senses Malice on her own body.

“Something does seem wrong with it,” he grinds out.

Aerin gets off the bed and gestures for him to take a seat. He eyes her wearily. Her scantily clad body. Her scent of arousal in the air. His own erection still present in his pants.

No wonder he’s curled up so tight.

Malice hesitates before he sits on the edge of the bed.

“Reikan has an idea of how to help it,” Aerin says quietly. She has to be careful about this, smart. The Dragon said Malice wouldn’t be able to resist but Aerin isn’t certain he won’t just chuck her across the room and storm out.

“Do you trust me?” Aerin asks him.

“Not particularly,” Malice grumbles, his eyes fixed on anything that isn’t her.

Climbing into his lap, Aerin straddles Malice on the bed, chest to chest.

“What are you—” before Malice can protest too much, Aerin raises her index finger, now sporting a massive Dragon talon similar to those that marred her skin just minutes ago. She drags it across the skin just under her left collar bone.

The talon splits her skin. Blood immediately spills.

Hands grip her hips tightly and blue eyes raise to hers, questioning and yet… desperate.

“It’s okay, Malice,” Aerin murmurs.

That’s all the encouragement he needs. Malice practically dives into her chest, covering the wound with his mouth and lapping the blood away with his tongue, moaning as he does. Aerin’s hands find their way to his hair. His massive hands span her back, keeping her pressed against him.

Aerin’s eyes close as she rocks her still desperate core against him. Everything about this feel sensual, sexual in the best way.She is giving and he is taking with such fervor, like she’s the best thing he’s ever had.

They fall back onto the bed. He keeps her cradled in his arms and then, when the space around her darkens, Aerin realizes he’s also cradled her in his wings. Malice continues lapping at the now healing wound. He doesn’t stop until the skin is closed and her chest is unmarred. Then he lays a single kiss over the site before his head falls away from her body in relief.

The blood-bond hums happily.

Malice shifts her body down so Aerin can lay her head on his chest. For many minutes they stay like that, Aerin curled on his chest, wrapped in his arms and wings. His breathing goes from rapid to even and eventually, just as sleep is pulling her under, Aerin swears she hears him say, “Thank you.”
