“Yes, please,” Everlee moans, pushing back from the table.

“I’ll take the win,” Callum says, his eyes flaring.

Everlee pauses, her eyes locked on Callum, her ass pressed against Jax. “No. You do not get to win by forfeit. Let’s go. One last round. All in. Winner takes all.” She looks at her mother who nods, then to Callum.

By this point, they all had roughly the same number of chips. He may have a touch more if they were to count them, but it’s close.

“Unless you’re scared.”

Callum pushes away from the table, palms pressed in as he stares at her. The chemistry is floating back and forth between them like a hot wire. “Love, I’m not scared. I will play. But just so you know. I play to win.”

“So do I. Love.” Her words are very punctuated.

“Well, well, well. Somebody get me some water, it’s getting hot in here,” Donna says.

And like being snapped back to reality, Everlee shakes her head and stands up, pushing all her chips into the middle of the table. The neck of her shirt gapes open just a little and her breasts are so fucking close. My cock twitches, but I’m sitting right next to her mom, so it would be awkward as fuck to get a boner. Shifting my cock back into submission, I stand up and take a step back, and Jax nods his head at me with a knowing look.

I flip him off and he chuckles, licking his lips.

Fuck me.

My cock twitches again, but for a different reason.

I need to get this shit under control.

Everyone is standing, for different reasons obviously, as Everlee deals the last hand. Her aim for leaning over the table is to distract Callum and I think it’s working because he has to keep shifting where he stands. Knox and Jax head to his side, eager to support him and see his cards.

Or so they say.

They, too, want to torture themselves with the little display Ev is putting on right in front of her mom. It’s the exhibitionist in her. Pulling at her. Making her walk that dangerous line between truth and secret.

She flips the last card and an evil fucking smirk twists her lips.

She has him, and she knows it.

“One card away from a pair,” Donna says, flipping over her cards.

“You show me yours and I’ll show you mine,” Everlee taunts, waving her cards in the air.

Donna’s gaze narrows on her daughter and flickers to Callum. There’s no way she isn’t picking up on the flirting and subtle, rather, not so subtle, sexual innuendos that have been flying around the house all afternoon.

“One at a time, highest card you have,” Callum says.

“Fine.” She holds a card up in the air. “One, two, three.”

They both flip an ace and the dining room is filled with oohs and ahhs. Knox being Knox is so pumped he’s jumping up and down on Callum’s arm.

“You both have a pair,” Jax calls. “It will come down to kicker.”

Callum flips his card. “King.”

Everlee bites her lips.

Callum taunts, without thinking, “Next time, babe.” But I don’t know if anyone heard it except for me, because Everlee slaps down her card.

“Ace!”

“Trips. Everlee wins,” Jax cheers.
