“Well, I’ll be.”
“Yea, these are a little harder.”
“Do you ladies need anything to drink? I’m going to run back inside and make a few pitchers of drinks.”
“That delightful concoction you made last week would be wonderful. The one with the pineapple,” Lizzy chirps.
If I leapt out of my seat and tackled her to the ground right now, I feel like that would be super obvious that something else is going on and all of her comments have another meaning. This one being that the night he made those delicious drinks, the guys and I ended up having sex in the kitchen because they were eating and licking fruit off my body.
I should just stop telling her about my sexy times with the guys and then she can’t do stupid shit like she’s doing now.
“Ok. I will make that one and bring a pitcher of water out as well.”
“These men are so thoughtful. Even the tall, dark, and handsome one over there.” She nods towards Jax. “What’s your thoughts on him? Or any of these guys?”
“What?”
“Well, you seemed to be drawn to them at Easter and then you’re here together. Seems like you hit it off at Easter.”
“They live just down the way from Lizzy and own a bar on the same street as her.”
“I hear you, but I don’t know. Seems like you have a chemistry of varying levels with these men. They are all very handsome and in fantastic shape. Do you find any of these men suitable?”
“Are you trying to set her up, Mama McKinley?”
“Well, she doesn’t seem to like the men I find for her.” She huffs, “Granted, none of them are this good looking.”
“You think they’re good looking?” Lizzy presses. She’s nearly leaning across my lap to talk to my mother.
“Well, I’d have to be blind not to think that and then honestly, I’d have to feel them with my hands and…” she starts fanning herself and Lizzy laughs.
“We should have a contest. We have to be blindfolded and you have to feel the men to determine which one is the hottest.”
“No,” I say sternly, looking at Lizzy, wondering what in the fuck she’s doing, then turn towards my mother with shock, realizing she was thinking about it.
“No, no, I couldn’t.” Mother blushes.
“But you wanted to, though.”
“I didn’tnotwant to.” She giggles.
I’m in shock. I’ve never seen this side of my mother. The relaxed, dare I say, carefree version of her. She’s always in a tussy, going here or there, always ‘on’.
“Didn’tnotwant to do what?” Emmett asks, walking back out with two pitchers and plastic cups.
“Nothing,” I snap, the tone betraying my irritation with Lizzy. I feel like she’s purposefully trying to spill the beans on this little love nest situation.
Knox is running back up to us, his golden locks bouncing in the air.
“What’s up, buttercup?” Lizzy asks.
“We’re going to go on a run. Anyone care to go with?”
I thought about it. Perhaps we could find a quiet spot on the beach and I could let them have their way with me, but the chances of that happening again, this late in the morning, would be slim to nil chance. Plus, having an orgy on the beach is a lot harder to hide than just one on one. Plus, the boys looked like they wanted to actually run, and I can’t keep pace with them.
“No thanks,” I say.
“Yea. I’ll join,” Emmett says, sitting the tray down.
