He laughs and shrugs his shoulder. “That’s fine. I’m pretty sure no man is going to come over here and try to dance with you now.”

A wicked smile crosses his lips. “Love you, boo.” He winks, then quickly glances at Lizzy and turns away.
“The audacity of that man!” She huffs, staring after him. “Nobody calls you boo, but me.”
I laugh, closing the distance between us. “I love you, you know that?”
“You don’t look at me like you look at them.”
“It’s a different kind of love.”
She grabs my hand and spins me around like Jax did, pulling me in. “See, I got the moves too.”
“Will you stop? I never pegged you for the jealous girlfriend type.”
“Sorry. I stopped listening after peg.”
EVERLEE–LIGHT ‘EM UP!
“Pleasestepforward,”thefemale TSA agent says, waving me forward into the large tube.
“Shit,” Emmett curses behind me under his breath.
“Hands up, feet apart, and don’t move.” The agent sounds like a robot, thrilled with her job. Ignoring the simple request, only for a moment, I take a quick peek at Emmett, trying to figure out what he forgot and see Knox jumping up and down behind him like a kid in a candy store.
“Please step out.” The second agent looks at the screen behind me and waves me through, then I realize why Knox is so happy.
“Please step through.”
Emmett sighs, holding his arms up and the little body image on the screen lights up on his chest and between his legs.
“Please step over here,” the agent guides him.
