“Those were baby making moans if I ever heard any. At least that’s the way I sounded when I got pregnant with you and Beckett.”

“Mom!”

“What? I had to listen to you, so guess what… the rest of the walk back to the house you can hear about your father and I. I think it’s only fair.”

“Mom.”

She was true to her word. She finally stopped talking about the night Beckett was conceived when we were walking up on the boardwalk. Callum was on a call, but ended it when he saw us. His brow looked a little furrowed, like he was stressed about something, but when he saw the smile on my face, he smiled.

“I’m going to go inside and let you two talk for a minute.” She rubs my back as she steps inside, and I hear Lizzy call her name for help in the kitchen.

“Well? How did it go?”

Needing to feel his arms wrapped around me, I throw myself at his chest and he lets out a puff of a breath, before he wraps his arms around me.

A low chuckle shakes in his chest as his arms hold me and he kisses the top of my head. “She loves me and sees the love you all have for me and can’t be mad at that. I think it will take some time for her and dad to adjust, but she didn’t shun me, so that’s a good thing. Is everything ok with you?” I lift my head, pressing my chin on his chest, not wanting to pull away yet, but wanting to see his face.

“Nothing we can’t handle. We just need more support at Allure. I don’t think anyone realized how big of a part Sammie played in the day-to-day operations to make it run smoothly.”

“Me.”

“You, what?”

A smile crosses over my lips as I take in a deep breath and push away from him. “I want to manage it. I want to quit my job and work at Allure full time.”

“Are you serious? Are you sure?”

“Yes, to both. I’ve been thinking about it for a while. I’m so done with the monotony of my corporate job. I work every day to make someone else money. I want to be in charge of making us money. The fight. The zest. Sex clubs have always been for men. I want to make them for women too. I want to help give women the confidence y’all have given me, that Sammie has given me. I want to create a safe space for people to learn and explore their kinks. I have so many ideas.”

He brushes the hair behind my ears. “You don’t need to convince me. I love it and I love you.”

“Then kiss me.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

He cups my cheeks and presses his lips to mine and I nearly melt. His kiss is powerful, wanting. His tongue glides in, claiming me. He pulls away a second later, placing his forehead on mine, leaving me breathless. “I love you, Everlee.”

“I love you, Callum. Now, do you want to go meet my mom?”

“I’d love to.”

My body feels like it’s walking on clouds because I’m so happy. I just all but essentially quit my job to work at a sex club, moments after coming out to my mom about the guys. My life has basically flipped on itself in the matter of a few minutes and I couldn’t be more excited.

When we walk in, Lizzy and Tony are standing in the kitchen, Beckett and Will are on the couch, and my mother and the rest of my guys are standing around the dining room table watching Callum and I walk in.

Lizzy looks like a wildcat who’s been cooped up in a cage for too long. Eyes wide, soaking up every detail, every move, hands twitching and waiting for answers.

“Mom,” I say, and what little noise was in the house stops. Even the air conditioner cuts off at the same time. “I’d like to introduce you to Callum, Jax, Emmett, and Knox. My… boyfriends.”

My eyes flitter to Lizzy, who looks like a soda bottle ready to explode. She’s shaking from side to side with so much happiness it’s about to explode out of her little body.

“Boys. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.” She smiles.

“You’ll learn this soon enough, but when she was naming everyone, she saved the best for last,” Knox chirps, walking over to give my mom a hug.

She laughs, patting him on the chest. “I’m sure she did.”
