Jax chuckled. “We were all fighting each other, trying not to knock down your door and bring you back to us. There were a few times we were close.”
“You were outside of my office a couple of weeks ago, weren’t you?”
“No.” Callum spat quickly, looking guilty.
“Callum?” Jax warned.
“Fine. I wasn’t going to kidnap her… I think. I just wanted to see you. It’s not like you weren’t camped out in front of her apartment for several nights.” Callum tattled.
Jax’s lips puckered.
“Well, I visited Lizzy a couple of times and showed up early and waited outside, in hopes you would drive down the road at the same time and see me.” I pointed. “You didn’t, so I sat there freezing my ass off.” I laughed.
“You could have always come down to Vixen, like you did tonight.”
“I could have, but I was scared. I almost didn’t come tonight.”
“Glad we could help.” They winked.
I smiled. “Well, that kind of come… yes, thank you… but...”
“Does Lizzy know about us?”
I scrunched my nose. I don’t know what prompted the question. Perhaps she had said or done something one of the times she was here?
“We couldn’t be mad at you if we wanted to.”
“After everything happened, I needed to talk to someone. I made her sign an NDA though, if that makes it better.”
Callum shook his head, smiling. “Well, that’s something.”
“Speak of the devil…” Jax said, looking at the cameras just before a knock thumped on the door.
“Lizzy?” I asked Jax before walking over.
He nodded.
I opened the door, and she peeked her head in before stepping in. “Wanted to make sure you dirty fuckers were all dressed. Although I wouldn’t hate to see what you hide under those shirts.” She pointed at Jax and Callum with a devious smile.
“Lizzy…” I said, blushing.
“Hello Lizzy.” Jax droned.
“Guys.” She nodded to them both before running her hand from my cheek to chin. “Thank you for taking care of her. She needed a good fuck.”
“Lizzy!” I snapped.
“She really does have a gift.” Jax smiled, impressed.
“It can be a pain in the ass sometimes.”
“Oh, but you love me.”
“Yes. I do.”
“Are you ready to go?” She asked, then looked at the boys. “Am I allowed to take her?”
“Yes.” I answered, looking longingly at Jax and Callum. What did I say? Where did we go from here?
