“What? Betty’s part of the team.”
“What team?”
“Team Everlee.”
“I don’t have a team.”
Lizzy laughed. “Oh, darling.”
“Had I known you two were going to team up against me, I would have never connected you.”
“Don’t say that, Everlee.” Betty laughed. “Lizzy has been keeping me busy.” She turned to Lizzy. “Did Tony win the bid?”
“He did.” Lizzy bounced up and down in her seat.
“That’s great to hear. I know he was really nervous about it falling through at the end.”
“It was touch and go there for a bit. They made some last minute changes, but everything worked out.”
“So good to hear! Is he still taking you to Bo La Vie to celebrate?”
Lizzy glanced at me, and I raised my eyebrows. “He is. We’re going on Saturday night. They have a special Easter menu.”
I sighed, remembering my night with Lizzy at Bo’s. It was Emmett’s baby he had recently opened up, and the food was divine. I missed it greatly and even though Emmett said I had a standing reservation every Monday at eight; I hadn’t gone. I couldn’t. I knew they’d all be there, because that’s when they had their weekly meeting discussing all their business ideas and such. Which I still wasn’t sure what all they had their hands in.
I could feel my stomach tighten into knots the closer we got to Vixen. I was not ready to see them. It’s been two months, but I don’t know if that was long enough. I mean, we weren’t together for that long, but the sex. God, the sex.
I let myself get caught up in their world, and I loved it. They made me feel alive. Wanted. Confident. All the things I needed to help me get back to who I was after dickface. I had hoped I would have been able to go out after them, but every time I tried, I couldn’t do it.
“Here we are, girls.” Betty said, pulling up to the front. There were several other ride shares dropping people off, so she had to pull further down the curb, close to the road that led to the back of the club.
I looked down the dimly lit alleyway and saw Callum’s black Audi parked at the door, with Brady standing beside the car. He looked up at me and after a second, he waved, so I waved back.
Shit.
My stomach twisted in knots.
I was going to see him tonight. My heart was pounding a hole through my chest.
“Lizzy.” I started.
She looked at me and her smile dropped as she saw the terror on my face. “You got this, and if you don’t. We’ll leave.” Her words were sincere as she interlaced her fingers in mine.
I nodded. “Ok.” I could do this. I could go see three, maybe four, deliciously hot men who I let sexually ravage and delight me. Who I couldn’t get off my mind, even though it’s been months. Who I let myself get attached to. I could do this.
“Let’s go find you a cock to ride, because I know you didn’t finish earlier.”
“You’re like the sex whisperer.”
She threw her head back and laughed while we walked past the very long line of people waiting to get in. “It was nicer when you were fucking them. At least we didn’t have to wait in this line.”
“That’s the truth.”
The weather was still cool, but not as bad as it was at Valentine’s. We left our jackets in Betty’s trunk because she was planning on coming back to pick us up.
We found the last spot, which was about fifty, maybe sixty, people from the door and waited, pressing up against the brick wall.
“I’m glad their business is doing so well.” I said, looking down the long line and then turning to see a large group of about twenty people walking up behind us. It looked to be a bachelorette party, because all the girls were wearing pink corsets except for the one rambling in the middle, wearing a white corset with a crown on her head.
