I hope against hope that we can give each other what we both need.
CHAPTERSIXTEEN
Liam
I cancel the second room Haley booked for us. No sense in sleeping separately when I’m planning on being naked with her all night long.
We do a keyless check-in.
I’m already kissing her neck as she holds up the keycard and lets us into the room.
We don’t even turn on the light.
We let the door softly close and then I flip Haley so her back is against the door.
I hike up her dress.
“I’m still wet,” she whispers to me.
“Good.” I kiss the shell of her ear, and she moans. “We won’t rush it, though. I’m not in a hurry.”
“Every guy I’ve ever been with has been in a huge hurry,” she says, her blue eyes wide behind her glasses. “They just want the main event.”
I kiss her. “Not me, babe.”
She kisses me back.
Within seconds, we’re full-on making out.
Another second and she’s got my jeans undone.
She drops to her knees and has me in her mouth before I can speak.
I groan. “Shit, that feels good.”
Her mouth is wet and hot, and I could come fast if I let myself. I haven’t been with a woman since I got divorced, and I’ve been turned on since Haley ran into me at the airport.
“Haley. Honey.” I try to back up, but she comes with me. “Let’s…oh God, that’s good.”
I reach down and take her hands.
“Darling, come up here.”
She releases me and stands up. I lift her into my arms and turn for the bedroom.
“Condoms,” she murmurs.
Right.
I circle around and find the box in her purse before heading for the bedroom again.
The entire suite is low-lit thanks to the light coming in through the windows.
I lay Haley on the king-sized bed and climb in next to her.
I kiss her cheek. “I don’t want you to feel rushed.”
“I don’t.” She tosses off her glasses and reaches for the condoms. “I feel ready.”
