I cut off the recording when I nearly fell off my horse and Luke caught me.
Jared obviously got wind of it because he sent me a terse DM—

And then it turned into asexy, dirty, not for others’ eyeskind of direct message.
And he and I had some incredible phone sex afterward.
Tonight, Jared is finally coming home.
And all that pent-up sexual frustration is about to be released. We won’t need to have phone sex. We can do the in-person thing. And I plan to do it…a lot.
But first, Jared has one last road game to play before he comes home.
“Are you two doing a video tonight?” Mia asks.
Haley holds up a hand. “Ash and I are going to watch Jared’s game. Maybe we’ll do a live of us cheering on the home team.”

“Get it, Max!” I bang my stick hard on the ice and start moving past the Arizona defender. “I’m on your left!”
Max takes control of the puck and pivots. He barrels down the ice and, without looking in my direction, sends the puck over.
Perfect placement and I catch it in stride with my stick. With one flick, I let it go.
Score! Right past the goalie’s outstretched leg and into the net.
We’re halfway through the second period, and we’re already up three to nothing on Arizona.
The rest of the game continues in the same vein. Our first shutout of the road trip, and we win, five to nothing. Overall, it’s been a successful trip. Only one loss, and we’ve bonded as a team.
“You looked good out there,” Coach says to me as I leave the ice.
“Thanks, Coach.”
“Do you have a new routine this season?” he asks me curiously.
“Why do you ask?”
“You’re more focused this year than last. You’re skating faster and stronger. And your total points are way up.”
“I’ve got a secret weapon,” I tell him.
“Oh, yeah? Well, whatever it is, keep doing it. It’s working.”
