“Even if you beg for it.”

He nods, pressing his nose against the top of my head. He breathes in deep, letting out a groan.

“Alright, hot stuff. We need to get going before you have me riding you on that bed.”

“Let’s do that,” he rasps.

“We have to wait. If we stay any longer, it’s going to be too hard to get to the cabin.”

“Fine,” he mutters.

He storms past me and down the stairs. I follow after him, unable to keep my amusement at bay.

I’m so used to Emmett being a sweet, caring, sunny, upbeat man. Sloane is right, his grumpy side is kind of hot.

“Let’s go,” Emmett snaps, grabbing his coat. He aggressively puts his arms into the holes and zips it up, then grabs a hat and shoves it on. When Sloane and Aiden step through the door, he calls out, “This ass isn’t going to fuck itself.” He pushes past the Alphas and storms down the steps.

“What was that?” Sloane asks, looking out the door after Emmett.

“I think he’s eager to get to the cabin.” I grin, grabbing the bag I packed. Making sure I have everything, I let Aiden help me get dressed. After we turn all the lights off and lock up, we head to the back of the house.

Emmett is already on one of the snowmobiles, engine running, helmet on.

As soon as Sloane hops on the back, Emmett takes off.

“I guess it’s me and you, then.” Aiden looks down at me. “Should I be worried about directions? Sloane was the only one of the two of us that has gone up there.”

“Nah. It’s pretty straightforward. There’s only one road up there.” I point to the road that leads from my backyard up the mountain. “We had it made just for Emmett’s cabin. No one can get up there without coming onto my property. Just follow the clearing of trees, and we’ll get there.”

“Sounds good.” He grabs a helmet and sticks it on my head. “Hold tight.”

We climb on and take off. The ride is usually a little more than fifteen minutes, but because of the snow, it takes a little while longer.

When we get to the cabin, the other snowmobile is already parked. There’s a faint light shining in the cabin, and smoke billowing from the chimney.

“Looks like they’re already in there getting settled,” Aiden says after we park the snowmobile next to the other one.

The cabin is already warming up, and the smell of burning wood makes me smile. It drops, however, when I nearly scream at the sight of a naked man crouching in front of the fireplace, poking at the fire.

“What the fuck happened to you?” Aiden asks, dropping our bags to the floor.

Sloane whips his head around and stands when he sees us.

My eyes widen. He really is naked. Dick fully out and all.

“He attacked me,” Sloane grumbles, pointing in the direction of Emmett’s nest. “As soon as we got inside, the man started ripping my clothes off until I was naked, then took off down the hall. I was so in shock, I didn’t know what to do. Not wantingto piss that feralthingoff, I started the fire because my dick threatened to crawl back into my body with how cold it is.”

I gape at him in surprise before bursting out into giggles.

Aiden snorts a laugh, too.

“It’s not funny!” Sloane scowls. “It’s like he’s possessed or something.”

Aiden’s just gotten his coat and boots off when Emmett appears out of nowhere. Sloane jumps, ducking behind the couch. Is he for real?

“Emmett?” I ask with caution, the light of the fireplace casting an ominous shadow over him. He really does look scary right now.

“You.” He points to Aiden.
