“Shhh,” Sloane says. “She’s sleeping. I wore her out.”
“I bet you did.” I grin.
“It’s not like that. We didn’t have sex,” Sloane says, but he’s grinning.
“Then why are you naked?” Aiden asks.
“Because we were so hot for one another that we ripped each other's clothes off,” he retorts smugly, waving his hand in front of the discarded clothes. “As you can see.”
He walks over to us and points to his neck. “Aaaand... I got me another one of these. Now you’re matching,” he tells me.
My smile softens. I’m so damn happy that Lexi felt comfortable enough to not only mark one, but both of her Alphas. Things are moving fast, and I fear that it might catch up with Lexi, but for now, I’ll continue to reassure her that we’re going to be okay.
“You’re not the only one.” Aiden shows Sloane his neck.
“Nice.” Sloane grins and high-fives Aiden.
I snort a laugh.
Sloane steps closer to me, and my laughter dies. My breath hitches, and my cock wants to say hello again.
“You two smell like you’ve been up to something fun,” Sloane murmurs. “Did you have fun, little Omega?”
“Not little,” I grumble.
“Not at all.” Sloane grins.
“Come on, baby.” Aiden grabs my hand. “Let's go run you a bath.”
“Good idea. I’ll start supper,” Sloane says as we head towards the stairs. “Hey, Sugar tits. How do you like your steak?”
“Suger tits?” Aiden gives me an amused look.
I just glare at him, making him laugh.
“Medium,” I answer Sloane and pull Aiden upstairs.
When Aiden heads for the bathroom, I check in on Lexi.
She’s passed out in her bed, curled up in a big pile of blankets.
Leaning against the doorframe, I smile, unable to look away.
She gave me everything. A reason to live. A new outlook on life. Hope. Love. Happiness. A friendship I don’t deserve but would never give up for anything in the world.
She also gave me these Alphas.
Maybe I’d have met them eventually. But if it wasn’t for Lexi welcoming me into her life, I would have had to wait a long time, if ever.
She has no idea how much value she has in this world, but I plan on reminding her every chance I get. And I know our Alphas will do the same.
Chapter 24
Sloane
“Would you stop staring at me?” Aiden grumbles, cracking an eye open.
“Well, wake up, and I wouldn’t have to.” I grin.
