“Who are you texting?” Sloane asks. “I’m hoping it’s either Aiden or Lexi if you’re smiling like that. Unless Lexi gave you Aiden’s number, I don’t think you have it, so I’ll go with our Omega.”

My eyes flick up to his. “What if it’s neither?” I cock a brow.

Sloane shrugs. “Their funeral.”

My brows furrow. “I don’t know if you’re serious or not.” Both Alphas are in some form of law enforcement. It’s dangerous work, and I don’t doubt they’ve gotten into some messed-up situations.

But have they killed someone before?

“What if I’m not?” He raises a brow. “Would it bother you, Emmett? If I were to kill someone for touching what's mine?”

“You said you belong to us, not the other way around.” I throw his words back at him.

“True.” He nods. “Fair point. Still, that doesn’t mean I’m not possessive of my owners.” He grins.

Is it fucked up that my cock is now hard? Normally, the whole Alpha possessive shit is a turn off and sometimes even a red flag. Yet the unhinged gleam in Sloane’s eyes makes me simp for this man.

I’m not sure Aiden caught me last night. I’m convinced I hit my head on the ground, and am now suffering from hallucinations and a brain bleed or something.

“You like that, don’t you, little Omega?” he chuckles.Damn it, he can smell me, can’t he?“Do you like the idea of owning your Alphas? I can even get a collar that says property of Lexi and Emmett. I do look good in leather.”

How can this man be both respectful and a total fuck boy at the same time? And why does it make me like him more?

My brain hurts. And so does my cock.

“I’m not into the whole kink scene. To each their own, but it’s never been my thing.” Sadly, because it was used against me in a negative way. I believe if done the right way and safely, it’s perfectly normal, and I have no issues with other people living that kind of lifestyle.

“Noted.” He nods. “Maybe just a tattoo. Oh!” He looks like an excited puppy. “Your bite marks. I can get them tattooed.”

“Slow down there,” I laugh, kind of loving his eagerness. “No one is biting anyone anytime soon.”

“Fine.” He shrugs. “But if you ever feel the urge, go for it. I won’t mind,” he says, wiggling his brows.

Chuckling, I stand. “Come on, you big flirt, let’s get going. Not that I have a lot to pack, but I do want to get everything moved in before Lexi gets back.”

“Moved in?” Sloane looks confused. “You don’t already live here?”

“Not officially, no. But Lexi gave me the green light to move in, and I don’t see any reason to delay it. We both have to work tomorrow anyway, so it makes sense to do it now, rather than later.”

“Should we get Aiden? Might make moving the bigger things easier."

I shake my head. “No need. I don’t really have any big items. Nothing we can’t handle moving on our own. All the major furnishings came with the place. Iwastexting Lexi. She and Aiden are still enjoying their time together, and I don’t want to interrupt that.”

“You really care about her, don’t you?”

“More than anything.” I shrug. “Her happiness makes me happy. That's all I need.”

“Damn it,” he sighs. “I really hope you both don't eventually kick us to the curb because I’m already falling hard and fast for you, little Omega.”

“Don’t call me little Omega.” I roll my eyes, ignoring the fact that his words make me too damn happy.

“Why not?” Sloane stands and steps closer to me. “You’re little and an Omega.”

“I’m not little.” I frown. “I’m pretty much the same height as you, same build as well.”

“But you’re younger.” He lifts a brow.

Mine furrow. “If you start this crap because I’m in my mid-twenties and you think it makes me less of an adult or some shit, I will shove you over that couch and show you that I'm as much of a man as you and Aiden are.”
