Beaten. Broken. Used as a bargaining chip. I’ve been through hell. He can’t do anything that hasn’t already been done to me. Except show me tenderness, kindness... pleasure. And he has. In a way I didn’t know I needed.
Goosebumps travel down my arms as I hear his heavy footsteps echoing in the hall. My steady heartbeat quickens.
He’s come back for me. I’m almost surprised by the excitement I feel. The rush of adrenaline, and the anticipation of hearing the click of the lock on the door. Almost.
My fingers wrap around the thin bars as he enters. My captor. I could come out, I could let him have me. I know Gio wants me, and I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t want him, too. His hard ripped body and the heat in his eyes tempt me to come out of my cage. The door’s never locked, so I could easily leave. But I’m safe here.
He said he won’t touch me, and he’s held firm to his promise. So long as I stay inside of the cage, I'm protected. But I want to come out. I want his praise. I’ve grown addicted to it. His very presence is a drug.
I’m desperate for him, and he knows it. I want to resist. I want to hold out against whatever sickness is taking me over. But I can’t. He’s too much. He’s everything.
There’s a darkness inside of him, a dangerous beast. I know what he’s capable of, but when he’s with me, there’s a sense of calm about him. Maybe I’m naive to think I affect him as much as he does me, but the very thought that I do makes me feel powerful.
The sound of the door creaking open and his broad shoulders filling up the doorway make my lips part, and a moan of lust escapes my throat. My nipples harden, and my clit throbs with need. He’s done this to me. He’s trained me to react like this. I know it’s the truth, but I can’t deny I enjoy it.
“My princess,” he says and his voice is rough and deep. It reminds me of how he groaned when he first took me. It's the sexiest fucking sound I’ve ever heard. He’s just as obsessed with me as I am with him. It’s only fair.
I lick my lips and shift on my knees, facing him and leaning forward. I don’t leave the safety of the cage though. I want him to lure me out. Is that so wrong?
“I miss you,” he whispers, crouching in front of the cage, his fingers curling above mine around the bars. My heart thumps hard in my chest, and my body begs me to just reach out. To climb into his lap and let him hold me. It’s my choice. But the only choice I’ve been given.
I’ve never felt so loved before. Even if it’s an illusion and nothing more.
But that doesn’t stop me from craving it.
“Tell me you missed me,” he commands, and my mouth parts on its own. The words are there, right on the tip of my tongue. I flirt with the idea of saying them, but I close my lips shut tight
He tilts his head, narrowing his eyes and tsking me for disobeying him. Again I shift on my knees, questioning my decision to keep fighting him.
His expression softens as he sits in front of me, lowering himself as my eyes look down at him. I settle onto the floor of the cage across from him. Merely inches away, but so much farther than that all the same.
“I know you did.” As he says the words, his dark eyes heat and a cocky grin plays at his lips.
I can’t help my eyes widening and a smile slowly slipping across my lips. I wish I could hide it, but I can’t hide anything from him. Not anymore.
I don’t want to go back to the way things were. I know it’s wrong, but I had nothing before him. I’m drunk on his touch, his words. He’s everything I could possibly need. He’s shown me that.
I may be broken. But I’m his.
