The cart wriggled and lifted its flap in greeting.

“Someday, maybe there’ll be a book about you and your adventures with Naddie,” Killian said. “Maybe you’ll get a few cart friends so all of Naddie’s siblings each have a cart, and you’ll get to race around with them.”

Wonder Cart squeaked excitedly. Killian grinned.

“We’ll do that when they’re a little older. Now, Naddie. Are you hungry? You look hungry.”

She latched onto him eagerly. Killian cuddled her and went to lean against Wonder Cart.

Now that he was wide awake, Killian took the time to look around the cabin. Like Crush’s vacation home, this place was filled with pictures of cars and wolves. It contained more scents though, belonging to different wolves, and more worn furniture. There was also a tiny racetrack running along every wall, at knee level, with a few wooden toy cars dotting it.

Killian reached down, pushing a toy car along the track.

“I made that with the intention of letting my pups play with it,” came a voice behind him.

Killian jumped, whirling around.

Crush was leaning casually against the bedroom doorway, strong arms folded across his chest. He looked sleep-rumpled, with bedhead and pillow creases on his cheek, a pair of boxers tuggedhaphazardly over his hips. A smile tugged at his mouth. It grew wider when he saw Naddie in Killian’s arms.

Then his gaze dropped lower, and he growled. “Do you remember what I said about the baby oil?”

Killian nodded, his cheeks flaring hot again.

Crush swallowed roughly. “Okay.” With what seemed like great effort, he dragged his gaze back up to Killian’s face. “How is Naddie?”

“I think she missed her milk buffet,” Killian said dryly.

Crush laughed. “She’s adorable.”

He came closer, leaning in to grin at Killian’s baby. Like before, Naddie craned her neck to look at him.

“Hey, don’t distract her,” Killian grumbled. “Let her finish her breakfast.”

“Alright.” Crush dropped a kiss on Killian’s head, before heading to the kitchen.

Killian followed him. “What are you doing?”

“Making us coffee.”

Killian watched as Crush scooped some beans into an electric grinder, pulsing it soundlessly. “Is that spelled to be silent?”

“Yup. No one needs to hear coffee beans grinding this early in the day. Especially when most people here have sensitive ears.”

“Oh. We just... stuffed rolled-up TP in our ears,” Killian mumbled. “Or bought coffee grounds.”

Crush glanced over. With one hand on the coffee grinder, he reached out, gently tracing Killian’s human ears with his fingertips. “Pop out those bunny ears. Let me rub them.”

Anticipation shivered down Killian’s spine. He shifted only his ears, purring when Crush stroked them.

Naddie’s ears grew long and fuzzy, too.

“Awww!” Crush looked as though he might melt; his eyes had gone wide and adoring. “Both of you! Stay here, I’ll be right back.”

He hurried out of the kitchen and into his bedroom. In moments, he was back with his phone, pointing its camera at them. Unlike Hansel, Crush’s phone camera was silent. He turned it around to show Killian the photo.

Killian blinked. “I don’t think I’ve ever taken a photo with the two of us. I mean, me and Naddie.”

Crush’s eyebrows shot up. “You haven’t?”
