“What are you doing?” Crush asked suspiciously.

Hansel’s gleeful smile was all but innocent. “Playing a new game.”

“Does that involve pickup lines?” Crush narrowed his eyes.

The butlercackled.“We’ll see, won’t we?”

He pretended to choose between several slips of paper. Then he plucked one out with a flourish, unrolled it, and read, “‘When the moon rises tonight, my turgid love rod will rise along with it. The slit at my tip will open up and sing, my love for you shooting out like great big pulses of whitewater rapids.’”

Killian shuddered, trying to sink into Crush’s chest. “That is so horrible!”

“I agree,” Crush said.

But Hansel gave them a confident look. “Tell me that won’t happen tonight.”

Killian imagined describing Crush’s cum as ‘whitewater rapids’, and broke down giggling. “No. Just no.”

“How about you stuff some big eggs into your mouth, Hansel,” Crush said dryly.

Hansel waggled his eyebrows madly.

At that moment, Crush’s timer went off. He drained the pot and filled it with cold water and ice to stop the eggs from cooking. Then he sat down with Killian at the breakfast nook, peeling hard-boiled eggs.

Feeding Naddie didn’t take long at all. She wolfed down one egg and went back to playing. Killian ate the other egg.

“No need to make elaborate meals for that one,” Killian said dryly. “I think she’ll barely taste it before it’s in her stomach.”

Crush laughed. “Hey, wolves taste things before they go down. Now, I’m going to build your nest.”

“You have everything you need?” Killian asked in surprise.

Crush shrugged. “Why don’t we see?”

With his knot tugging lightly behind Killian’s rim, the alpha carried Killian to the spare bedrooms, throwing open the linen closets on the way. Crush tucked a bundle of duvets under his arm and brought it to his bedroom, dumping them on the clean floor next to his bed. One by one, he visited every room, stealing all the blankets off the beds.

“I’ll need you to help with this,” Crush said when they were back in his bedroom. “We’re going to build the walls of the nest.”

He gave Killian a lumpy blanket, taking small sections at a time to shape it into a tall circle. When he had a high enough wall, Crush laid down several blankets on top of the blanket circle, to make a cozy concave shape.

Through it all, his knot kept jostling Killian’s prostate, sending jolts of pleasure through his body whenever they moved.

Crush raided the spare bedrooms for pillows and cushions next, stuffing them into the nest. Then he tucked his used clothes between all the pillows.

“That looks really cozy,” Killian moaned. He could already smell whiffs of Crush’s forest scent in the nest. It smelled so good.

“This isn’t all I have planned.” Crush added some of his clean clothes to the pillow pile. Then he went to the office and pulled a few books off the shelves. “I don’t have your favorite books right now, but these can stand in for them until I manage to get them shipped. No stuffed toys yet, either; we’ll go through a few sites and pick out those you like best. I might send Hansel into town for some emergency stuffies.”

“This is already way more than enough,” Killian hurried to say. “Any more, and I might not be able to fit in.”

Crush laughed. “Then I’ll build you a bigger nest. For now, I’ll lift the pillows so you can burrow under them. Good thing I had spare pillows and blankets for my pack. Not that they’ve been here recently; this cabin doesn’t smell like anyone but us. I use it to get away from town sometimes.”

Killian nodded. “That’s probably why it was so easy for me to settle in. It doesn’t smell like wolves all over.”

Crush raised an eyebrow. “I’m a wolf. This place smells like me.”

“Well... You do smell like a predator. You smell dangerous. But also safe. It’s like I’m stepping into the sea with a shark just a few feet away, but the shark brought me food.” Killian paused and thought about what he said. Then he cringed. “That sounds terrible!”

“Sounds accurate, though.” Crush grinned.
