“I guess you should feel pretty good about yourself for not being able to get it up with an unconscious girl.”
“You wouldn’t know. You were blacked out for almost all of it. I had already finished before you came to.”
I squirmed uncomfortably at the reminder of the sticky substance that was still damp between my legs.
It was clear in his tone that Adrian was defensive.
“Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night,” I muttered.
Why the fuck is he lying? I mean, if I had to rape an unconscious body in front of a bunch of other guys, I’d probably have a limp dick too.
I pressed the images swirling in my mind as far away as I could from reality. I refused to break down in front of him.
You’re okay. You’re okay. You’re okay.
The mantra didn’t stop my stomach from clenching with disgust. My muscles began to uncomfortably cramp and ache like I had the flu.
Thankfully, the car pulled up in front of Enoch’s house what felt like moments later. I didn’t waste any time exiting the car, awkwardly making my way up to his front door with my limbsnow shaking uncontrollably. I just prayed it was some sort of crash from all the adrenaline and not a sign I was going into a delayed drug overdose or something. I shoved the small paper bag into the pocket of my hoodie before ringing the bell.
My heart bounced erratically in my chest, and I contemplated turning around and going home. Death would have been the easier option. Before I could leave, the door swung open.

October 15, Friday
Enoch
The doorbell rang and I jumped up to get it, telling Jae to pause the game as I chucked my controller onto the couch.
I grabbed the cash from the table by the door and opened it, counting the money before slowly looking up and gasping.
“Shiloh?”
I tossed the money aside to grab her shoulders and pull her inside, glancing behind her to see a car driving off. Her teeth were chattering almost painfully, and I quickly shut the door behind her.
“What-what happened? Are you cold?” I asked, stunned.
I took a moment to inspect her closely, pulling her further under the dim hallway light. My stomach flipped when I sawthat her eyes were swollen and red, like she had been crying and had an allergic reaction. She stared back at me, the silence only disturbed by her chattering and trembling body.
“Come sit, yeah?” I offered. “Get warm with a blanket. I’ll make you something hot to drink.”
She shook her head and opened her mouth to speak but her jaw was chattering so hard that it took a moment for her words to come out clearly.
“What’s taking so long?” Jae’s voice echoed down the hall.
“C-c-c-can I t-t-ta-take a show-er-er?”
“Yeah,” I nodded, ignoring Jae and the fact that she wasn’t answering my question. “Are sure you’re alright? Nothing happened? You’re really pale. Are you sick?”
“F-fine,” she managed to get out, forcing a smile that was faker than the plant on the entry table she looked at when she answered.
“It’s Shiloh,” I called back to answer Jae who shouted my name when I never responded previously. “Not the pizza—”
Just as I spoke the doorbell rang, sending Shiloh stumbling closer to me.
“That will be the pizza delivery,” I explained.
“I’ll handle it,” Jae said from behind me, causing me to flinch. I hadn’t heard him join the small entryway space. I moved aside, no longer blocking his view of Shiloh and he sucked in a breath. “Holy shit, what happened?”
