Kane texted me the location and asked me to wait there. I told him I wanted to stay out of the spotlight, so the tunnel area, where all the other players’ families are meeting their alphas, is obviously the best bet.

I’m getting even more curious looks as I lean against the wall. My head dips, and I pretend to scroll on my phone as I wait for my alphas to hurry the hell up.

Part of me hopes Kane will text me and tell me they can’t make it for some magical reason, despite the locker rooms literally being on the other side of the double doors. However, it’s mainly so I can race home and get out of these stupid clothes.

I move my phone so I can look down at myself, and I sigh. Black leggings are fine, but not like this, never like this.

I can already see Kane’s reaction.

I shouldn’t have even taken this risk in the first place, but I know part of me wants to be caught. I want to rip the band-aid off so I can relieve the pressure of my lie and go back to the Ollie who doesn’t present as a guy or a girl.

Kane casually suggested getting to know Timber as the real Ollie. It doesn’t matter how much I want to stand in front of Timber as my real self; it’s easier to dress up like this than tell him the truth and hurt him.

Light jealousy dances through me as I glance at the alphas cooing over their omegas, surrounding them in a wall of muscle, pouring love all over them and their kids.

I’m tired of acting like a guy, and I don’t want to be this kind of woman. Once I leave Timber’s house, I can go back to a world where I don’t have to think about how I walk and talk, or care about how I dress. I can just be me.

“Ollie!” Kane shouts as he tears through the open doors. Heads turn and track him as he sprints the length of the tunnel to scoop me up.

I cry out as he lifts me, flinging my arms around his neck as he suddenly spins us. We’re both laughing as he pulls me into a kiss. His moan flows into me, and I’m already kissing him back as he sets me on the ground in an easy flow.

It happens so quickly that I forget I’m annoyed with him, as his taste floods me, all of my anxiety is tossed out of the window. He fills my senses with lavender as his strong arms hold me tighter, and he presses a kiss to my cheek.

“Damn, sweetness, I’ve missed you so much.” Kane molds his body to mine, and I rub my face against him to get a lavender reboot.

“What the hell are you wearing?” he murmurs as he brushes his nose against my bare neck, scent marking me instantly.

“Shut up,” I groan. “It was for a friend.”

He leans back to give me a once-over. “Never wear anything like this again. I can’t even recognize you.”

I give him a shaky grin. “That’s the point. It was meant to be a disguise, but it sort of backfired.”

“Well, I can think of a good way to solve this problem,” he hums as his hand feeds under my sweater. I yelp as his cold fingertips run up my spine, but we’re still grinning.

I’m not letting him off easy when he forced me into this situation by telling Timber to invite LukeandOllie.

Kane swoops in for another kiss, and I growl against his lips.

“An orgasm isn’t going to get you out of this,” I warn.

“How about two or three?”

I turn my head so he can’t kiss me again.

My eyes widen as my gaze lands on Timber, who’s standing right next to us with his arms folded.

I jump, pulling away from Kane, and my tension sky-rockets as Timber gives me a once-over.

“Ollie,” he says gruffly, and a shudder goes through me at the heated look in his eyes.

“Hello again, Timber,” I say carefully as I step back from Kane. I don’t think I can be more awkward, but I'll give it a go.

After watching them both play like that, all Timber has to do is touch me, and I’m going to melt. I’m glad Kane brought me outhere, where other players are leaving with their packs, so I don’t pull him against the wall for a repeat of what happened at the restaurant.

He’s already moving closer, and all my reasons for keeping away from him are slipping, because I’m standing in front of him as a different person.

“I thought you would have contacted me,” Timber says as his huge body casts a shadow over me in the artificial light. “After what happened the last time, I thought you might…”
