“Are you kidding me? Look how high up we are.” Pointing out towards the water below. “We literally threw ourselves off a rock face into the water for fun. No regard for personal safety whatsoever.”
Chuckling, he turns me, so we are facing one another. “The day you jumped with me that summer was the day I knew I was in love with you.” His deep voice softens with his confession. “It was humbling that you trusted me enough to do something that scared you so much.”
“Really?” I see the truth in his eyes as I hold his waist.
“Yes, really.” I close my eyes as he bends and places a soft kiss upon my forehead. “I’m beyond grateful you are willing to forgive me and give us a second chance. Thank you for being brave and trusting me enough to jump again. I love you so much.”
His hand comes up and brushes a strand of hair behind my ear, fingers lingering long enough to steal my breath. The other slides up under my coat, around my waist, splaying over the small of my back.
“I love you too. You are the only person I trust enough to catch me,” I whisper gazing into his warm brown eyes.
His breath brushes my cheek as he leans in and kisses me tenderly. It feels like a promise he’s making with his whole heart. My lips part as his tongue gently swipes along the seam. Standing on my tiptoes, I clasp his worn leather jacket in my fists and pull him closer to deepen the kiss. Tongues tangle and dance as our hands roam and explore each other’s bodies.
When we finally break apart, we are breathless. I’m not sure how much time has passed while we were lost in each other, but I need to remember this moment. Memorize how it feels to choose each other again after so much time. No more secrets, no more lies. Just the truth between us and the knowledge that we will get it right this time.
Chapter Forty-Six
“I can’t believe this is what you are making me wear,” I grumble loudly, pulling a large, long sleeve tunic over my head. “It’s a good thing I love you so much.”
“What’s the problem, I thought you wanted to dress in couples’ costumes?” she calls from the bathroom where she is getting dressed and applying her make up.
“Well yeah, but I was thinking a sexy nurse and patient vibe. I could totally pull off being a cowboy. I didn’t think you would humiliate me like this.” Looking in the tall mirror in the corner of the room, I secure the wide black belt around my waist. “This is absolutely ridiculous,” I complain.
Hannah has immersed herself in spooky season. I am now the proud owner of black and orange dishes and cutlery. A plastic skeleton, that lays down the centre of my dining room table, is adorned with silky webbing and spiders of all sizes. They are even crawling out of the eyes. It’s creepy. She kept the veranda a little more family friendly but there are at least eight glowing jack-o-lanterns lining the stair treads. I love it because she loves it.
I see her smiling reflection peeking around the bathroom door as she looks at my getup. “You are an adorable gardengnome,” she giggles. “Just be happy I didn’t insist you wear the fake beard that came with the hat.”
“Thank goodness for small miracles,” I mumble, as I turn around, pulling on the pointed hat over my hair. All I need now is boots and my humiliation will be complete.
“Besides, the kids will love it,” she says, walking into the room looking like a wet dream.
Her long blonde hair has been braided down her back and a crown of daisies circles her head. A pink velvet bodice pushes up her glittered covered tits. Wearing a sparkly white tutu, tiny wings, and tall boots, she is the hottest fairy I have ever seen. I can’t wait to peel off her costume later tonight. The boots can stay.
“Fuck.” I exhale, frozen in place. “You are stunning. Maybe we can skip Halloween this year and just stay home,” I say, adjusting my rapidly hardening cock through my pants.
Walking towards me, she places her hands on my chest and leans into whisper, “Very good things come to boys who wait.”
Wrapping her braid around my fist, I pull her closer and growl, “I expect very good things, my dirty girl.” Leaning down, I kiss her slowly as my hand tightens around her hair. Her eyes flutter shut as she whimpers into my mouth and clenches my shirt into her fist.
Releasing her hair, I reach down, cup her ass lifting her up to my hips, and I walk her to the wall. Locking her legs around me, she breaks the kiss and gasps. “I guess we have a few minutes.”
The words barely have time to leave her mouth when we hear the faint voice of our favourite five-year-old calling from downstairs.
“Auntie Hannah, where are you?” Ben sing songs from the bottom of the stairs. “It’s time to go trick or treating.”
Groaning, Hannah slides down my body to the floor. “To be continued.” She quickly pecks me on the lips then uses herthumb to wipe away any lipstick she left behind. Her eyes heat as I nip her before she can pull away.
Some of our friends are planning to go to Bob’s tonight but we have already begged off. My rock-hard cock and I are very happy with that decision because there is no way I can wait that long to get my girl home and into my bed.
“We better go before he comes up here.” Taking my hand, she pulls me out of the bedroom and towards the stairs.
“You know Riot’s going to make fun of me, right?” I complain as I follow her.
“I do. This was his suggestion.” She looks over her shoulder and giggles.
Hanging my head, I shake it. “Of course it was.”
I have apologized to Riot about the terrible position I put him in by asking him to keep secrets from Hannah. It wasn’t fair and he was pretty pissed by how everything came out, but we’re good. That doesn’t mean he’s not going to give me a hard time for a while.
